Booked it on a "reasonable price". After arrival it turned out, the corridors are dirty and they forgot to mention, the room is located under the ones, where renovation works takes place. Enjoying the music of drills, hammers, loud workers - this is pure misleading of the Customer. I am disappointed, and for sure, will never return to this hotel. Thank You BW, nice policy!
Found the staff very friendly nice and cose to the airport with free shuttle going every half hour back and forth
Dinner was fantastic. I had a mega schnitzel, which was perfect! Good meal for little money!
Staff is very friendly and the hotel lobby is well maintained. However, the rooms are most definitely outdated and could use some renovation. The hotel is quite pricey for the room you are offered. You can hear everyone else Specially, the people right above you. I was given a ground floor room and it wasn't pleasant at all.
It is a comfortable hotel with free shuttle frok the airport Perfect when you arrive late and just need to spend a night there. I haven't used gym/pool.
Good hotel.. Rooms are small. Beautiful place. Nice food
I have stay a Best Western's for the last thirty years and am a Diamond member. This hotel was the worst by far that I have stay at. The staff had no idea about membership levels and benefits. They really couldn't be bothered with any requests.
Around 5:00 we lost power. Obviously the lights didn't work but the phone was also dead and the door locks didn't work. I called the front desk on my mobile and couldn't reach them. There was a used and dirty cheese knife in my desk chair. It was just miserable. Definitely not up to BW's usual standards!
This has been the worse unbelievable experience I ever had with a hotel. I just can't believe how much of con artists the staff are in this place.
We booked online a room with 2 beds and we were 2 adults parents and 8 years old kid. The Staff denied us entry to booked room saying it can only be occupied by a maximum of two persons regardless of age. We felt that was strange but asked if we can be moved to a larger room and pay the difference. They said they can't do anything about exiting reservation (even though we booked it through their own official website!). They said the only thing they can do is book us another room next to the one we already reserved and we have to pay a steep price for second room where one night was more than what we paid originally for two nights. We went back and forth with them asking them to help us recover this unexpected expense by just charging us additional to what we already paid and move us to bigger room with the kid. All attempts failed with them claiming that online reservation is conducted through main office and they don't have access to that. Time went by and we didn't know what to do. We felt helpless and stressed. We said to the manager, we just need to resolve this but can't pay for two rooms. She said we will just move you to a suite and will call main office in the morning to apply what you already paid to the suite.
We went to the suite and it was so filthy and didn't look as it was worth the price. ( see pictures Walls were scratched , kitchen sink had food remains, bathroom had hairs and wifi didn't work) at this point we felt cheated and out of options. We went back to reception and explained the situation. The manager said we will give you free breakfast tomorrow. Are you kidding me ? I'm not interested in free breakfast we just needed a decent room to stay in while visiting Amsterdam. We got too frustrated and declared to them that we are going to just leave the hotel if they refund us what we paid. The manager said that is fine and she will do her best in the morning to talk to main office. Yes ! we left the hotel at 11 pm and walked at night to near by hotel and paid for room there instead. So at this point there is money we paid when we booked original room online and had to pay for room in different hotel which was frustrating enough. But that is not the end of the story. I checked my credit card charges in the morning and found best Western had also charged us for the suite ( additional to what we paid for original room !!!) Im not sure how this justifiable under what law! We haven't even use the hotel due to horrible experience they put us in. Until now I cannot believe how horrible this is. They basically ruined our trip and stole our money. We concluded based on previous reviews that this is an ongoing pattern this hotel is doing to trick families into coming to their hotel and ending up forced to buy additional rooms. We will be looking for all possible legal options to get our money back. This has to stop!
Everything is correct. Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacey enough, the bathroom is good. The services provided by the hotel like the shuttle bus to the airport and back to the hotel are correct. The hotel staff helped us very much when we tried to contact our travel agency because of a problem we had.
Very unfriendly Staff. Not very clean place. I was there with two kids 3 years and 5 years old and they forced me to take two room even though I did not use one room at all, I just had to pay them money for nothing. Amsterdam was a nice visit, this hotel was the worst experience. They advertise as four star but I doubt they qualify as four star. Worst hotel experience in my life. I wish they at least had a decency to let me cancel my reservation if I they could not accommodate me and I honestly wanted to cancel and go to different hotel.
Stayed here for 5 nights and didn't have a problem. Had a lovely hot swimming pool and cosy beds, that we woke up nearly by lunch! WiFi broke out once in a while. Would come here again and would recommend this place to everyone. Free hotel shuttle and if I miss it (in the future), go to your room to enjoy the cosy beds or awesome WiFi!
I have stayed in many locations all over Amsterdam and this place is totally disappointing starting from the staff. I landed 9am from USA and called this hotel to know where to stand for shuttle. The lady responds and says "Find it yourself I am busy". At that very moment I knew this hotel experience will not be good. I get to the hotel and she is not interested in checking me in until 2pm! So I have to wait from 10am till 2pm! When I asked I am even willing to pay early fees she responds and sais "I don't have time to check if any clean rooms are available". Are you serious! Highly do not recommend this place and this lady seriously needs to learn some manners or she will be causing the owners to lose a lot of business.
Got placed here by KLM, after me and my girlfriend missed our flight due to delay. The first room we got wasen't cleand out yet, got another room that was better right away. Been told by KLM that we would get bathroom things from the hotel. Our was in our bagage Asked for a bag at the reception and got 1 bag, One per room we where told, by a really annoyed girl, that was almost rude to my girlfriend when she asked for another kit. Went back later and spoke with a guy, and asked IF we are supposed to share toothbrush. And got a new right away. Was leaving at 6 in the morning for the airport the day after. When we got down to the reception to check out, and drink some coffe. Asked if it was possible to get a cup of coffe (20 mins before breakfast). And a really cheeky girl told us, "at 6". Yes, but could we go take a cup in the coffemachine in the diningroom? At 6 she told us again Really bad service from the two ladies we meet here. Angry and rude behaviour towards us Would rather stay at the airport the whole night next time we are refered here Mainly due to the behaviour of theese two ladies. Im dissapointed..
We were glad we chose this hotel near the airport. It is attractive, comfortable, clean and quiet. The Internet worked well and we had a small refrigerator in our room. Breakfast seemed a bit high priced, so we waited and ate at the airport. The shuttle to the airport was prompt and efficient.
Booked this as was spending a few days in Amsterdam and was not willing to pay the ridiculous prices close to the city centre, yet did not want to be so far out that having to travel became a pain. The free shuttle bus links perfectly with the airport, from which there are trains every 15 mins direct to the city centre. On arrival, we discovered a broken lamp in our room. We spoke to the manager, and he immediately upgraded us to a much nicer room, and gave us both a drink on the house. Nice view of the airport from the top floor (if you are into that sort of thing). If you don't mind the sound of aircraft, it is a definite viable alternative to staying in the city centre. Make sure to get a multi-day ticket for the train, trams, buses and metro and you will be sorted. Rooms and fixtures are as to be expected for the price. Staff very friendly.
