Second time coming with my husband, and this time with my daughter, son in law and granddaughter also. We all love this place now, especially the breathtaking view. The stuff extremely helpful and sweet, and the owner a jewel!
The only thing you've got to be careful is to make sure they understand what you're asking for (food wise), as I got two different times dishes that I didn't ask for, and twice a totally different smoothies. Be prepared to wait for the food, since it takes way longer then it should, but it seems that this is a common thing all over Nica. Other than that, the place truly deserves 5 stars.response / report this review -

Such a beautiful place. I loved it. Also, the guy who works in the restaurant/front desk was awesome. Super friendly and English was very good. Food was also very tasty. You can book your trips right at the front desk as well which makes things very easy. Also, met the owner who was a very nice guy as well.

Amazing accommodation and the view from the pool is out of this world as it faces the sunset over the lake with the plain view of Conception. It gets better with the good chefs in the kitchen and the sounds of nature.

A little patch of paradise. Expedition to get here not for the faint of heart. Payoff worth it for the adventurous. Rumor of $50 daily flights from Managua make the excursion more managable for the pampered. Discover it before it gets overrun in a decade.

This is a beautiful resort. Nice view, pool, rooms.
The service was terrible. They had a young staff that sat on their cell phones and couldn’t care less about customers. It became frustrating to say the least.
If properly managed this would be an amazing place to stay, but I would not go back after the way we were treated by staff. They literally ignored us unless we approached them.response / report this review -

Stayed here for 3 nights last November amidst Hurricane warnings and could not have felt safer/been happier with my stay! The staff is so friendly and welcoming and I really enjoyed talking to them about living on Ometepe. The food was absolutely delicious and you cannot beat the pool views. Scooter rentals and a kayaking trip were arranged for us - both of which I would highly recommend if you're in town for a few days. I loved how quaint Hotel La Omaja felt, traveling down the quiet dirt road to get there. Highly recommend staying here!

Hotel organized by cabanas. Each room is a small hut that includes a safe, a bathroom, TV, and air conditioning. Has a bar and restaurant but does not include any meals or drink as part of your stay. Hotel has an infinity pool from which you can take in beautiful views over Lake Nicaragua of the southern shore. Somewhat difficult to get to as it is quite a distance from the ports on the island. Recommend renting a 4 wheeler to get here or setting up transportation to get here before getting on ferry as it is easy to get price gouged for transportation on the island. Hotel offers transportation packages for a decent price compared to local economy.

A lovely hotel with really friendly staff/owners. You'll stay in small 'villa's' that are all really comfy, private and offer good views. The food is good, although you'll probably get bored of it if you're staying along time. They can help out with planning activities such as walking up the volcano or kayaking on the lake.
It's a great place to watch the sun set and enjoy a beer!response / report this review
