Serena del Mar is, as always, an oasis in Cabo! Relaxing and refreshing, the accommodations are superb. The staff is a breath of fresh air, with their willingness to please. Beautiful pool, access to the beach, and a fabulous restaurant are just a few of the reasons we choose Serena del Mar over and over again!!

Welk brought us down for the tour/meeting to purchase. The place is beautiful, awesome pool and the classes look fun. However they put us in a Hampton which was 15 min away from where the actual night life, day activities, city life, etc is. It cost $30 to go back and forth. I would recommend a bus if you are in this situation. The bus is 25 pesos for two people (the big blue bus or the small white bus).
They scheduled us for an activity, but what they don’t tell you is that most of them are booked. Ours was cancelled on the day of, with Cabo Adventure (see my review for deets), after a hours of back and forth and to get a refund we had to go back to Welk which was more of our day wasted.response / report this review -

Paradise, chef zamora was a spectacular true artist of food. All of his dishes were a great fusion of flavor. The presentation was also great. Our server every evening was Antonio Santos. He was a true professional and a wonderful representation of your company.

Stayed in a bigger one bedroom here. Room is very nice. Bed is a little low and a little more firm then the wife likes but it has been nice so far. Only one restaurant, a little pricey. Food is good. Great views if you get the ocean side. The garden side. not so much. Ride in down the one road is not aesthetically pleasing but the staff is great! Very helpful, very accommodating.

Resort is beautiful but remote. Nowhere to walk to and cabs are $20.00 into Cabo. Steep 15 minute uphill walk to the bus. We had one of the best rooms overlooking the ocean. Some rooms in the other building just look at the building in front. Small beach but not nice sand and a long walk down the stairs. Gorgeous large hot tub that no one seemed to clean..lots of floaty stuff on top of the water. Most of the resort seemed to be kept up. Waiters and staff were excellent. Kind of expensive for food and drinks considering you have no other choices if you haven't rented a car. I wouldn't return as I felt like a hostage. $20.00 for the cab to Wal-Mart and $12.00 back. No personal beverages allowed at the pool.

Amazing views, fantastic fresh cuisine, cold drinks and a calm environment. Guillermo is a fantastic waiter who took care of our every need. I would recommend to all.

Good if you end up in the right building. We have been here multiple times and the place was indeed great. However our last stay we booked ocean front rooms and got something that would require a good lean over the balcony to see the ocean. Also one of the rooms was directly over the front desk where a huge fan blows up the smell of the kitchen at an airplane engine noise level. What probably happened is that they have sold more timeshare units and those people get preferential treatment so it makes less sense to go in if you don't own. Several calls to the reservation center did not resolve the issue for us and we decided to just enjoy the rest. Finally at 5:30 am they wash the pool area with detergent that then flows in the ocean. You can see the foam outside the resort the whole day as it slowly drifts toward the beach. The place below is a snorkeling paradise that they bleach with detergent every single day.

My daughter and I stayed at the Whelks Resort in Cabo for 10 days and I am sorry to say that we have to go home tomorrow. We cannot say enough about the excellent service we got from Charlie, Antonio, Angelo, Oscar, Alex and AKA pretty boy sorry I don't remember his name. The food was great, the beach was awesome and the memories will last a lifetime.

This hotel has everything you would need, from a hammock on your balcony to a swim-up pool bar, jaccuzzi and beach access. The whole resort is definitely defined as a place to relax and wind down and have a good time. The room we stayed in was excellent as it had a full kitchen, living room, washer and dryer, a jacuzzi in the bedroom along with his and her sinks! Loved that the shower had 3 shower heads, two on opposite walls with one hanging from the ceiling. The room was very spacious and had a balcony with a table and chairs, a hammock to hang outside and relax to enjoy the weather, and with a beach view that made it even more amazing! The service was spectacular, everyone makes you feel welcome and there's plenty of things to do.

Paradise comes to mind. I had an amazing vacation of a lifetime here. The condo is beautiful, we had ocean view, and pool view Building 2 4th floor. Triple shower head and a jacuzzi. The staff is kind and helpful. I will visit again in the future.

The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star is because of small things, for example there was no light near the BBQ grills and there is only one restaurant (The food there was great) and there convenience store is tiny. Our vacation at Sirena del Mar far exceeded our expectations (even though the expectations were high)! The resort is beautiful, well maintained and top notch for accommodations. The staff however, is what impressed us the most. Friendly, attentive, hard working people that always went beyond the job at hand. From the staff that met us upon arrival to everyone throughout our stay, we couldn't have been happier. In particular, the activities crew Angello and Jonas, kept us up to date with fun things to do on site and kept things lively and exciting. In addition, Gabriel at the bell desk, Jesus, Santos, and Edgar, to name just a few, were outstanding. They were always checking in with us to make sure we were happy and having a good time. They even took care of us to make sure we weren't overcharged by taxi services! My husband and I have visited many resorts and hotels around the world, and this resort by far had the best service we have ever received. My husband and I are both perfectionists and we could not find anything wrong with the resort or the staff. We plan to return on a regular basis. I would highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed! Signed, K & V

This is a really nice resort with amazing views. It's located right on a cliff so you can hear the waves crashing all day. The rooms are nice and updated. The crew is very friendly and welcoming. The main pool has a swim up bar so that's nice. There is also a smaller pool that kept at a warmer temperature. This resort has direct access to one of the few beaches in the area. It's a great alcove for snorkeling and exploring tide pools.

Beautiful resort! Great bartenders, fun activities, great staff. Muy wife and i spent hours in the pool overlooking the sea (pool bar also helped, great happy hour) Nearby beach was pretty rocky, pack water shoes.

I just arrived home from a two week stay, and the memory of this resort is fresh in my mind and heart. What can I say but WOW. The service here is second to none. the view from my room was beautiful. The food was very good but expensive. Having an apartment style suite was great (the washer and dryer is extremely convent). I never went a day when the staff did not ask if there was any way that they could make my stay better.
I would recommend going, and yes I would go back. One tip I would give is to get A rental car and use the free valet.response / report this review -

We stayed for two weeks. Great staff, internet works well, clean rooms. Beach is small & lots of stairs to get there. Beautiful views - we had hoped to get ocean front but were on a time share exchange - those rooms are available only to actual Welk members (we were told). Bring own food as restaurants are a bit expensive. We did enjoy our visit.
