The hotel is great for kids with a dedicated pool/water slide area, mini club, and kid friendly events. The entertainment both during the day around the pool, as well as the evening shows were fantastic. Food was good, especially the omelets during breakfast. To top it off, the staff was all super helpful. One thing I really appreciate was the hands off approach to their timeshare sales. Aside from a quick 10 minutes orientation about the hotel and facilities which include a brief invitation to spend an extra hour and a half listening to their sales pitch in exchange for special privileges around the facility, we were left completely alone. I would definitely come here again, and most likely will.

Overall we enjoyed our experience! Beaches were great with amazing family friendly pools. As a family of 4 with young kids there was plenty for them to do as well as activities for adults. We felt very safe and the area of Los Cabos has a ton of new construction making if very welcoming. Only downside was food was mediocre. and restaurants were difficult to book for earlier dinner times, we had to book by 9:20 am for an 8 pm dinner time.

This resort was fantastic fun for the whole family. The entertainment each night was amazing - A Mexico show, Carnival, Michel Jackson, Disney and more. We got a free snorkeling and kayaking trip in San Lucas on a cruse ship out to the arches with free drinks, dancing and more. we spent our days in the pool and enjoyed the many meal options. I highly recommend this all-inclusive resort for your next family vacation.

My stay at Royal Solarias has been great so far! My room is clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The all inclusive package is fantastic and have not had difficulty finding food I want to eat a the buffets. So many places to eat!! The staff is super friendly. They are always really helpful and accommodating. The pools have not been too crowded but people do reserve the loungers prior to breakfast. You have to be quick to get a lounger if you in a large party. Great place. I will totally be back.

Just spent a wonderful week at Royal Solaris. Exceptional service by housekeeping, front desk, servers, entertainers and bartenders! Greeted with smiles by almost all hotel staff. Situated in a great location on a beautiful, pristine beach but with the dangerous riptides no swimming. But wave watching and walking for miles on gorgeous sand is highly recommended! The grounds were very well kept and very clean. A quick 10 minute walk to local shopping in San Jose but also shops and restaurants right across the street. Would definitely stay again❤❤

I had a great time during my stay. The staff was attentive and went that extra mile. I loved the location. The food was great except for the temperature at the morning buffet. There were freshly made doughnts & to order omelettes. Other guests were friendly. I definitely want to go again!

We spent thanksgiving 2017 break here. Staff is amazing. Food was great. We follow Jain diet and to our surprise they exceeded our expectations in catering us pure Jain food 5 days in a row. Chefs and Captains at restaurants took care of us. Very very nice place - we will visit again. We highly recommend Royal Solaris to anyone and especially to all our fellow Jain friends.

Special thanks to Captain Angel, Captain Viktor, Server Patrick. And also all the Chefs. Thank you so much.

Fatima Fatima Fatima was and is a wonderful representation of this resort. So helpful and extremely nice. We are coming back next year just so she can take care of us again

Staff very nice, rooms clean, buffet average,Marco Polo restaurant excellent with Victor in charge and his staff were cheerful.
Nice to have no smoking around the pools although of course there are still those people that figure they don't have to obey rules.
    Having a good time.
We are her until Sunday night leave Monday morning.
Had a good experience in Pancho's last night with David and Palma serving.
We realise it's off season and one of the buffet areas is closed but the lone buffet is not very big, managed to find enough to eat though it just needs more variety.
Clean everywhere no drunks in the pools like some 4 stars we've been to,nice location as the hotel area has a nice clean street with shops and bars.
Decent music in the foyer lounge area every night too.

Not bad for the price but amenities are lacking. The location is really good and the beach nearby has soft sand. Rooms are very basic and the beds were hard but not bad. Service from the staff was great and they are very friendly. Food was average and I could always find at least one or two good things to eat.

The Royal Solaris is a really nice hotel. We worried a little because we saw some negative reviews about the food and other stuff, but we found the food to be pretty good overall. The deluxe room is nice and has a large walkout balcony. The service is great and everyone is very friendly.

We upgraded to a ocean view for about $50 more per day. The rooms are kept clean but they are outdated. The meals are, in my opinion very bland and repeated many of the same foods. If you're a foodie you're going to be super disappointed. I only had a couple of drinks while I was there and they were pretty good. The ocean is not swimmable so the pool fills up very quickly, so you must save a spot early in the morning if you'd like to have a good seat. Overall for the money it was a good spot but if going back again I'd pay a little more for a different property.

Staff and service is amazing, live shows and interactions are awesome, bartenders do NOT serve tainted alcohol and make strong drinks upon request, house keeping is great, and location of hotel is nice and secluded from the party scene. The only reason I rated this hotel 4 stars is because the food lacks flavor it's "ok" but can use more Mexican love. There are 2 restaurants on site and I'm hoping the taste is better than what I've had.

Don't let these reviews scare you. It is a very good deal and sometimes you give a little to get a better price. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience and will always remember this as our first vacation together. Food is not drop dead amazing but we went in expecting that, and we ate good every single night and the omelet lady was amazing . The drinks at the pool bar started off very weak but as our vacation went on we befriended the bartender named Rafa, who was extremely pleasant and one of the reasons we enjoyed the trip so much. After our second day weak drinks was no longer a problem. Rooms are a slightly dated but the friendliness of ALL the staff makes up for that, which is all I could possibly ask for. For us it was the service they provided rather than the amenities of the resort, where they fall behind in one they make up in the other. It's exactly what you can expect at a 3-star hotel but with the 5-star service. We will return here.

Below is our view from the balcony.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Probably the most upsetting was that we stayed 5 nights and only one of those nights did they have entertainment (carnival night) we were not told about this event and once we saw it and wanted to attend we were turned away for not having made reservations. No one even informed us it was happening in the first place. Also the food here is TERRIBLE, If you want to eat at one of their restaurants AS ADVERTISED (that isn't the buffet) you have to reserve at 9am, no one told us this so upon arrival either. All of these restaurants are inside of the resort which is supposed to be all inclusive but they turned us away because we had no reservation. Need transport to the airport as they advertise? You're on your own unless you reserve 3 days in advance which again isn't something they tell you. Last but not least, the ocean water here is NOT as advertised, not clear at all and you may not go into the ocean anyways???? Security will stop you. I thought I paid for a beach resort.

My boyfriend and I just got back from staying at Royal Solaris in Los Cabos. We went there for our 1 year anniversary. I was excited at first when we got there because everything around the hotel in the inside and outside looked so nice. And they put a free bottle of champagne in our room for our 1 year. But as the days went on the SERVICE was horrible! Not a lot of smiles from the servers and it took forever to get service. Sometimes eye rolls from them when we would try to use our Spanish words. The food in the buffet and room service food was all very BLAND. There were only 2 restaurants to eat at night and the whole time we were there only one of them was open and you had to make a reservation in advance! No one told us that. All of the alcohol drinks seemed watered down, I think it took me like 10 drinks to even feel a slight buzz. It almost seemed like because we are in our 20's that's why we didn't get good service, which made me even more upset. But as for the rest of the service, bad food, and closed restaurants I will never go back. I stayed at a different all inclusive resort last year in San Lucas and it was way better all around, so I know how it is suppose to be. They need to fix these things. I will not be recommending this hotel.

We booked a room at the last minute and had a wonderful time.

PROS: If you have kids ages 4-11, this place has an amazing Kids Club with fantastic teachers (Dora, Lea & Diego) as well as a Kiddie Waterpark! Our son loved it and made a friend as well. He couldn't wait to go to Kids Club where they made creative crafts, ate freshly made pop corn and watched a movie, slid down the water slide and played Wii. This also gave us as parents, a break to read and soak up some sun. The highlight for our son was the Kids Camp that the Kids Club staff put on one evening. The kids ate in tents, rock climbed and enjoyed a Disney show at the Theater. Another PRO is the friendly staff, especially, Alexandro and Victor (the captain for the breakfast buffet area), Elsy, the lady who cleaned our room and several other waiters and staff who were exceptional, warm and helpful! Also the shower water pressure was perfect! The room, and hotel areas were clean. While the food is mediocre, it didn't taste bad. I recommend the fresh omelettes instead of the scrambled eggs in the buffet area, plus Lucy and the other ladies who cook the omelettes are super friendly. Also the Flank Steak at Pancho's was a hit with us!!

The CONS: The dated rooms, our balcony wall needed to be fixed, food is mediocre, and the fact that from the covered beach area, because of a mound, you can't see the waves from where you sit.

Since this was a last minute booking, the front desk staff were helpful and obliging so overall it was a wonderful experience. I would recommend this place, if you're looking for a decent place to sleep and want to give your kids a wonderful experience. The staff make this place warm and superb. If they updated and fixed the place up a bit and had a little more variety with their food, this hotel would be great!

Avoid if you can afford elsewhere. We booked last minute and didn't have many options.

Food: 2 stars. Think Golden Corral and CiCis pizza. We ate out almost every day.

Drinks: the alcohol is extremely cheap it's hard to ignore the taste plus it's watered down. Some fell on my hand when I asked for more alcohol. It tasted like water when I licked it. We drank every night across the street at Tapas.

Room: 2 stars. Think Motel 6. Bed extra hard even with the extra layer of padding we added. Initial room was two doubles and we had to wait for a king. Rough towels.

Pool: 3 stars. Lots of kids. Food in the water.

Service: 1 star. They are all about selling. Their timeshare. As soon as you walk in! You think you're getting info in the facility. Waiters and housekeeping sub par. Not good.

    Shows: cheesy and not good.

If you are NEW to all inclusive you might think this is good. It's not. There are so many better options. I speak from experience.

Very nice resort for 3 stars. They have a lot of staff that work very hard to make it a good experience for the guests. We changed rooms twice due to noise issues, one outside and one inside, and they could not have been nicer. Thanks to Victoria and another nice manager, sorry I can't recall his name. We also arranged for a late check-out for an additional fee and then changed the time and Amaranth could not have been nicer even though we created more work for them making changes. You constantly see them cleaning all around the resort. There restaurant reservation policy is odd because they fill up immediately but we were always able to get in. Even once when we did not have a reservation they took care of us. The concierge Gabriella was very helpful when we wanted to go to Cabo San Lucas for the day. My two biggest cons would be the very firm beds and not enough outdoor dining options in the evening. We did not find the large buffet area for dining very appealing but would stop down for the evening entertainment which was fun. The entertainment staff works hard during the day poolside and in the evening. We enjoyed Juan and Memo. Felt it was a good value.

Great All-Inclusive, the food quality was good, I was hesitant about it, but everything was good. They helped me with my Gluten Allergies. Upgraded room with Jacuzzi, very nice. The AC didn't work well, so we slept in the buff. The entertainment was very cute. Staff very friendly and if you ask for the drinks to be made stronger they will do it, the alcohol isn't watered down, trust me, I hurt my ankle zip-lining and had my typical 4 Tequila shots and felt great just like at home.
