Stayed at the VIM for 12 days. Even the standard rooms are great. The buffets are very huge, fruits are well chilled. The VIM has a nice beach front, 6 beautiful und delicious restaurant's. Everything was perfect, but we missed additional parasols and a drinking menu at the bars. I would recommend the VIM at every time!

Outstanding service throughout our entire stay in beautifully maintained & upgraded grounds & buildings. Quality of dining, drinks, entertainment & beach was excellent! What more could you ask for in a vacation? We were here 10 yrs ago. On this trip, we brought 4 friends. We still felt like royalty & you can bet we'll be returning in the future.

Heaven. There is no other word for it. We went here for our honeymoon in September 2017 and we can't wait to go back. The grounds are beautiful, staff is friendly and attentive, drinks are delicious. I know there is a lot of talk about how dangerous Mexico is right now, but this resort is well guarded and I felt completely safe the whole time. The beach is great to take a walk on and there always seemed to be empty beach chairs. The Golden pool is perfect for the days you just want to lounge and relax in peace. The main pool has a great party atmosphere. The Go Team is great at getting people involved in activities and entertaining the crowd. This isn't the place to go if you are looking for a lot of nightlife, but it was perfect for us!

Ok my wife and I have been here for a little more than 24 hours. Every bite we’ve had to eat has been remarkable, the staff has been attentive beyond belief, the rooms are CLEAN, quiet, and the layout of the resort itself took us 15 minutes to figure out. You can’t walk a path without a shuttle asking if you need a ride. EVERYBODY speaks perfect English. If you’re afraid of traveling to Mexico, you have nothing at all to worry about. Federal Police all over the place between the airport and the resorts. This place is fantastic and we already can’t wait to bring our family back.

The 5 star is for the staff! They were all so friendly and helpful. They all had great personalities and were willing to help out! A HUGE shout out to Maria (out waitress at our swim out Building 8 Room 108). She is the most amazing waitress. She is the hardest worker i have ever seen and she ALWAYS had a smile on her face and never stopped! We have traveled to many resorts and have always had great service, but Maria, by far, out does any other service provider ! Thank you Maria for all of your hard work and your great smile! This is a great Adults only resort! We defiantly recommend it!
We just finished our honeymoon here and it was wonderful! It is so beautiful, it blew our minds how gorgeous the grounds and rooms were.This was our first time at a resort in Mexico, it set the bar pretty high The staff were very professional and respectful. The service was great, ladies you will feel like a princess! people open doors for you, pull out your chair, place your napkin on your lap and everything! (they never failed to do these thingIt was surreal!) The food was delicious and has a huge variety! We have a bit of a "warning" for the men out thereall the dinner restaurants follow a dress code, we were surprised by this and had to buy some shirts from the shopping centre. (our own fault for not looking into it )
Like I said the grounds are beautiful and always kept clean. The pool was great and had an unspoken separation of loud and fun and quite and relaxing sides, both with swim up bars! The beach is not far from the pools and is very nice, theres a swimming area where there are no rocks and coral.When we went is was a bit wavy for us so we spent a lot of our time in the "non" swimming areas where the coral meats the beach and it was the coolest thing! We were able to see little fish and enjoy the warm water! The beach had lots of chairs and some cabanas you can rent.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Valentin Imperial Maya. It was our first time and we loved the spacious, tropical grounds, friendly and bilingual staff, and it's many amenities. There are several bars located throughout the hotel where a full bar and bartender are available to provide you with your drink of choice, including 2 swim up bars at the pool. The beach that is accessible through this hotel is superior to many of the other hotels in the Cancun area because in addition to the lawn chairs, shading, volleyball courts, and lifeguards, the beach itself has a shallow gradient, calmer waves, a swimmable area free of rocks, and crystal clear water. The hotel has 7 restaurants with unique culinary experiences, our favorites were the Japanese, Indonesian, and Steakhouse. Even the most entry level rooms are elegant and spacious, including a Jacuzzi tub and multiple housekeeping cleanings a day. The main concern to this location would be if you are susceptible to mosquito bites as they are common in the Riviera Maya area. Throughout the bars and restaurants, the staff offers complimentary Off(R) Spray to help keep you protected. Additionally, I cut my foot on the base of the pool in a game of water polo, likely from pushing off the floor too hard. The staff are constantly replacing the tile in the pool so hopefully this won't be a recurring issue. All in all, I will be considering this a top stay and my top choice for vacationing upon returning to this area of Mexico.

Best all inclusive ever. We were there a week ago (2nd time) and it still lives up to our expectations. The food (buffet area) is even good. The restaurants food is good and the people are amazing. Everyone says hi to you and they really know how to take care of you. There is a nice entertainment pool, but then the lazy river pool to relax. Bars are everywhere, beach service is amazing. Even the cheapest room is amazing! You will not be disappointed if you go here.

This place is AWESOME! I cannot say enough about this place it was great, the people were fantastic. The pool was huge and the drinks were plenty and we met some of the nicest people you will ever meet. The place is huge and yet everything you need is close by when you need it. The staff treats everyone as if you are kings and queens. We spent a week there and enjoyed the staff and all the wonderful restaurants. There is so much food that you won’t even need room service but if you do they are there for your late night snacks. We will definitely be going back very soon for a return trip. No kids so it’s a great place for you and your wife to reconnect and spend quality time together.

Came here with a group of friends for a long weekend trip. The resort is very nice and the staff are all really friendly. As you go into the lobby they provide you with a welcome drink - champagne. They offer transfers from the airport - it's probably the easiest way to get here from the airportso you don't have to mess with all the transportation companies at the airport. The dinners were excellent but the buffets were just OK. Drinks are plenty and you'll never get thirsty. The beach was excellent - nice sandy beach but there were a few rocks when you get into the ocean. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. They have room service included and you can order as much as you want. We had a great time here - will probably come back.

This resort is the epitome of luxury relaxation. Delicious food, unlimited booze, sun, beaches, pools. There is nothing more I could have asked for. The grounds of the resort are gorgeous. Well tended and spacious. The staff are all exceedingly helpful and are always available to answers questions or assist in any way possible. The wait staff are amazing and if you tip them well, they will remember you and take extra steps to ensure your stay is even more enjoyable. The only slight complaint relates to the unexpected heat and the resort has no control over the climate. Amazing resort that we will visit again.

So so. It was very pretty, but also very run down. Several issues with our suite that we asked about and were never fixed.
BIGGEST complaint were other guests. Namely this prick from Kentucky. Some of the RUDEST people I have ever encountered.
The food was probably the best part. We really enjoyed the Mexican restaurant.response / report this review -

The Valentin Imperial Maya is situated south of Cancun, roughly a 30 minute drive from Cancun airport. The setting throughout the hotel is gorgeous. The grounds really do live up to its 5 star rating. The rooms are fantastic; we stayed in the silver suite which has a jacuzzi right in the middle of the room which seperates the main room from the bathroom. The air con was very welcome and the beds extremely comfy. The staff at the hotel cannot be faulted. They're very welcoming, friendly and always making sure you're enjoying yourself. The pool and swim up bars are great. The food at all the restaurants is fantastic, we loved the Hacienda, especially the steak. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back.

Don't be deterred by other reviews stating how large and spread-out the property is. This is a BONUS. It never feels overly busy, and it's easy to go for nice, secluded walks down winding cobblestone roads or along wooden boardwalks. The accommodations are beautiful, and the food has yet to disappoint. There is such a variety of dining and drinking options, there's sure to be a favorite for everyone. Highly recommend a stay in this resort.

We are about to take our first trip to Mexico. We found this resort and it is the one we want to go to. I booked a room with swim up feature and they booked it like it was fine. Then I received an email telling me that room is not available on our dates, and they offered us two other options which were priced hundreds of dollars higher than what we saw on their website. I am giving them one more chance, and went back to their website and booked their most basic room that guarantees a king bed, and will see what happens with that. If that isn't available and they offer us "something else" for hundreds more than their website price, I guess I will have my answer about this resort.

The great thing here is that even though the surrounding areas are packed with resorts and tourists, the Velentin Imperial sits on its own little inlet of sorts. That means it's a lot more private than some other places. The food is outstanding, the drinks were delicious. I can't wait to go back!

We visited here March 2017 and had a wonderful experience. We were treated like royalty. The staff members were accommodating, rooms were excellent (we had a swim up suite- wow!) The restaurants were excellent Never had a bad meal. This place is top notch. The only downside for me was that the ocean was too rough to swim in 6 out of 7 days we were there, but this may have just been the time of year that we went. It was a gorgeous view, though!

Best place ever!!! The grounds and staff were phenomenal. Every single person was friendly and always had a smile on their face. Every inch of this resort is well groomed and cleaned to a 'T'.
The food was also top notch. We enjoyed the French restaurant the most, the hibachi was great for meeting other people and just enjoying the company of others.
We spent our days on the beach near buildings 12 and 13. Guillermo works the bar near this area and took amazing care of us, always made sure we had fresh drinks and his drinks were AMAZING. We'll miss him and can't wait to come back to this resort.response / report this review -

Stayed there Jan. 25-Feb. 1 2017, loved it, Went as a group of 4 couples. Food and drinks were great, loved that they had coors light which we all drink!!! Rooms were very nice and the bed was to die for. Fun pool activities each day, nice entertainment every evening, especially the band called " The Band", played all great hits of the seventies. Staff was great,especially Jorge, Melanie, Enrique,Joel, Brian,Dora and Millie, made our stay so much fun. We liked so much, planning on going back next year.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would without reservation. We were there January 31 to February 7, 2017 and we absolutely fell in love with this place. From the minute Jesus greeted us off the shuttle with a warm "Welcome Home" to the minute we had to say goodbye to our friend Luis from the Mar and Tierre restaurant where we spent almost every morning for breakfast.
This resort is definitely a slice of heaven which keeps a part of your heart behind when you leave. All the staff were genuinely friendly and happy and always wanting to help you. The food was amazing at all the restaurants and the grounds were simply beautiful, the way they were manicured and kept so clean I didn't see any garbage anywhere.
I am very sad to have had to leave, but we will definitely be back again for another much anticipated holiday.
