Didn't try the food, only had drinks. Beautiful spot right in town on the water. Perfect for a relaxing day in the sun. Friendly staff. You can also snorkel right off the dock there.

Great, quiet seaside experience. Not too far from cruise ship. (From cruise ship pier, cabs lined up with standardized prices based on distance. Just a $10 cab for up to 4 person.)
Money Bar Beach is across the street from mid size Landmark Hotel.
Everyone is friendly here at monkey bar. Can rent all day Snorkeling gear for $10.
American dollar accepted everywhere

I usually review this every year when I go there. Unfortunately this year I have to give it to stars because it took over an hour and 20 minutes to get our mail people around us were served in 15 minutes so our waiter either probably drop the ticket or never put it in for our order. Where the view is beautiful sometimes a service outweighs that unfortunately. Next year when I go back I'll give it one more try

Great getaway from the center of the city without having to find some hidden oasis. Money Bar offers great food and drinks as you experience one of the great snorkeling spots on the island. Its a little pricey ($4 beer, $8 drinks) and the exchange rate between pesos and dollars is far lower here than the actual exchange rate. Rate at this time is over $20 pesos per dollar, they gave us $16. That's our only 'complaint,' because everything else is very nice (beach, easy entrance for snorkeling and swimming, massages etc). Even prices aren't terrible and are worth it; we come here every year.

The four of us went to the money bar for snorkeling and had a few drinks afterwards. Everything was great until I asked for the check which was $25 and gave the waiter two twenty dollar bills ($40). The waiter thanked us and said he would return with my change. We waited quite a while and the waiter never returned.

After about 20 minutes I went to go find our waiter. Upon locating him he looked at me with a confused look and opened up the little black book they bring your check in and said (in very poor English) "look you gave me no money". After speaking with him for 5 minutes explaining I had given him two twenty dollar bills ($40) I went back to our table to explain the situation.

Two of us went back and things got loud. It was obviously a scam and we were not leaving being ripped off. An older manager looking guy intervened and all of the sudden my change (the two twenties) magically appeared. The waiter profusely apologized and kept saying he had made a mistake (this time he spoke very good English). On top of all of this I took my change and still gave the guy a $5 tip on a $25 tab.

Cozumel is a great place to vacation but gringo's need to be aware. They know you don't want trouble in Mexico and will most likely just turn around and walk off. Be aware at the money bar.

We had such a wonderful day at The Money Bar yesterday! Jesus and Roberto were attentive without being intrusive and made us feel welcome to stay as long as we like without pushing us to order more. We each got a drink and sat for a bit on the deck before moving to lounge chairs in the sand. We ordered a bucket of beer which was refreshed with ice several times as we relaxed and snorkeled. After a couple hours we ordered lunch (sandwich and a salad) it was just what we needed on a hot day. Prices were great and food and drinks were tasty! We had gone to a different beach club the day before and were intruded on as we were trying to relax with our beverages and told we needed to order more from the restaurant or go. We had intended to spend time there and purchase more (we are adults relaxing, not college kids chugging booze) but after that rude interaction we just left. It was refreshing and welcoming to have such great, attentive, not pushy service at the Money Bar. We would recommend it to any tourist who wants a relaxing waterfront day! Thank you Money Bar!

I'VE LIVED IN COZUMEL FOR 5 YRS AND MONEY BAR HAS BEEN ONE OF MY FAVE PLACES. ESPECIALLY FROM 5-7PM (HAPPY HR). THE FOOD IS ALWAYS ON POINT & PRICES ARE ACCESIBLE. LIVE MUSIC, YOU CAN RENT SCUBA STUFF OR PADDLE BOARDS, THEY HAVE HAMMOCKS THE WORKS! I RECOMMEND THE MONEY BAR SPECIAL DRINK (ADULTS) MOST DEF NEED TO STOP BY IF UR VISITING.

The snorkelling here was fantastic! We saw so many different kinds of fish. Some of fish were very playful and schooled around us close enough to touch. We also saw some eels, a giant crab, and a puffer fish. There was so much to see in the water.

Great drinks and food. They have a great happy hour deal (2 for 1) which is great for larger groups. The sunset here are beautiful. Beware of mosquitos once the sunsets ask waiters for some repellent.

On Saturday nights, they have live music with a dance floor which is always a good time! Overall good service with good ambience.

This beach club is great. No entry fee and they do not pressure you to buy loads of food and drinks.

There is also a place to hire snorkelling gear as part of the same complex. It's called "Tigers" I think. I had my own mask and snorkel so just hired fins / flippers (US$10 / 200P).

A good thing they have is free lockers. I am travelling alone so it was nice to be able to lock up my valuables while I was out snorklling.

The snorkelling is very good. There is a "no boat zone" right out the front of their beach club, set up with a 150m (450ft) set of yellow buoys about 50m (150ft) off the beach. There are lots of fish, eels, stingray etc. The closer to the buoys the better. It gets to a max of about 6m (18ft). A lot of artificial reef structures are in this snorkelling area which have good growth so must have been put in years ago.

I would defiantly come again and I highly recommend it.

Not sure why people say this place is so expensive. We spent maybe 20 US dollars for a full plate of nachos and 3 very delicious mint lemonade frappes! Snorkeling was amazing and no charge to enjoy! You can rent snorkel gear but we always bring our own. Beware of the dock when snorkeling! The coral underneath with sting you nasty of you touch it. Don't swim too close!

Very expensive. Full of tourists from I assume the massive hotel behind it. Went there for sunset but ended up watching the whales swallow their overpriced hamburgers and then all try to out shout each other. If you like local or Mexico I don't suggest it. But if you just got off a giant cruise ship then indulge. One point though the waiters where cool as always and make sure you tip them well!

Fantastic location for snorkeling! A shop next door rents all of the equipment and will guide if desired. We experienced a strong rip tide in the afternoon, so you need to pay careful attention to the currents as the day progresses. The water is clear and the fish are abundant.

We also purchased a LARGE plate of nachos that were delicious and reasonably priced. The take US dollars or Pesos, with Pesos being preferred.
