Visited over thanksgiving 2017. Yummy baked goods, tasty coffee and a sweet setting. It’s quaint and shaded, a welcome refuge from the sun after snorkeling at Akumal. A must stop.

My parents and I went for dinner here, each ordering a different flatbread. Theirs came, mine never did. Ever. Thankfully they had enough food that I could eat as well and let me tell you, the flatbread is INCREDIBLE!!! My favorite. The lemonade is more like soda water, not the lemonade I’m used to. I ordered a different drink, but it never came. Was charged for it. So basically I felt like a ghost!! Haha. Aside from the poor service, this is a great place for food. That flatbread! LOVE.

Cute place! Loved eating in a grass hut structure (not sure the technical name for it). The food was good, but not exceptional. We had a coconut shrimp salad, blackened fish tacos, el pastor tacos, and a Brie quesadilla (that was possibly the hit). We thought it was good, but not out of the world. Our waitress was so seeet and kind!

We had breakfast here most days during our week in Akumal. It was better than other places we tried. Service was friendly and attentive enough. This is not seaside but the eating area is open enough to allow some breeze. Though not fantastic, it was our favorite place to eat in Akumal.

Not recommendable, if you are looking for a good seafood dinner.
Veggies overcooked or semiraw. The fish of the day was drown in supposedly roasted tomatoes & garlic, which turned out to be a wobbly mass soaking everything on the plate. Our second plate were crispy shrimps. I ordered them on basis of the Spanish menu, which said nothing about crispy but only 'camarones al coco'. It could have been everything from tofu to chicken and only became tasty with dipping it into the oversugared salsa.

Best local place near Akumal beach, in my opinion. Large menu, friendly service, and reasonable prices. Our usual dinner place when staying in Akumal.

Beautiful location with great food. If you're looking to solve your hamburger craving, this is the place! They have smooth delicious ice cream that finishes any meal off and close enough to the beach for an after meal stroll.

Terrific atmosphere. Great service. A vast menu. Dinner was excellent. Back the next day to pick up some banana bread for a breakfast at home and then had ice cream for dessert the next night.

Best place in town to watch US television shows including sports. Full bar with excellent frozen drinks and smoothies. Menu strong on seafood, Mexican, sandwiches and pizza. Credit card can be used for full payment.

This review is for Turtle Bays Wedding services. We could not have been happier with our choice to use them for our wedding. We got married on a small beach just south of Akumal. Manda was our prime contact for everything and she made our day. They took care of setting everything up for us. From hair, to beach decorating to the food, everything was above and beyond expectations. Planning a wedding can be difficult, especially via email, but they made this very easy. The setup, food, drinks, bartenders, everything was perfect.

Great service. Their staff speaks english very well and the their food is good enough to keep us coming back every day. The sticky buns are a no brainer, but a mix of familiar and unique dishes will keep you coming back for more. Ingredients are fresh and all surfaces are clean.

Staff are happy to help you navigate your way around the area and if you have any questions about how to get around or where to go they can set you off in the right direction.
