I think is a good place for stay and sleep. If you like history you can learn about the Mayan culture in its walls. They have a pool
The spa at Xbalamque is an amazing experience. They put fresh medicinal herbs in the steam bath. Very relaxing atmosphere friendly and professional staff. Talented therapists will aoothbyour muscles and give a very thorough facial.
The hotel is very atmospheric with its Mayan sculptures and colourful artwork but the windows in the rooms won't close or lock and the plumbing isn't good. Taps only trickle.
The staff are friendly and helpful. They changed my room after the first night due to plumbing issues.
Good local transport links and some great bars and restaurants nearby. On the whole its a great place to be if you're not expecting luxury.
If I could I would give this hotel ZERO stars I so would! The location was great but the staff and the rooms. not so much! The receptionist tried to scam us when we were paying for the room, NOT NICE SR! When my sister and I finally got our room we noticed these funny looking things all over the beds they were both infested with bed bugs. We ended up getting another room. This hotel had horrible room service! They didn't do their job well and still the the audacity to ask for a tip! Here's one: CLEAN THE ROOMS and try not to scam people!
-Gracias!
Nice size rooms. Large open vanity area. The lobby, hallway's and stairways all have beautiful murals and written details of Palenque and Mayan culture. It also has a beautiful pool and patio area, somewhat rustic. The spa was amazing! We each had a massage and I had a facial, as well. They were just what I needed to work all the kinks out! Hotel, 3.5 stars; spa, 5 stars for amazing massages!
Muy buena música
Great value, nice place. Massage quality varies greatly between therapists. Ask about the promotions
The spa is amazing, is not luxury but the staff is very profesional And iy feels warm And friendly. I Will go back for more masages
Staff was very friendly. The price was great but the room was run down. You get what you pay for
Scam. Avoid this place. Liars. They don't care if you make a reservation. If it's peak season they will give your room to other people.
I arrived here at night and the lady at the counter told me the hotel was full and our reservation was cancelled because my credit card was declined and it wasn't guaranteed (not true since I reserved through Hostel world and paid 10US $ to secure the reservation). Nobody sent an email to tell me my reservation was cancelled. She said this without looking my name. There was a couple in front of us in the same situation.
The hotel was full.
We were at 1am without hotel. They offered to go to a dirty cheap motel for more money than our previous reservation.
The staff is very nice here however our room was a bit dirty. The sheets and the towels on them. The plumbing was bad for the toilet and they do not provide a blanket.
We love going for the massage specials. They have great prices and great staff. We go often and recommend to everyone we know.
My reservation was cancelled by mistake so check-in took a bit longer. The rooms were horrible and restrooms very ugly. The window a/c unit didn't work. The ceiling light tiles were broken. The showers look moldy and very outdated. My teens didn't want to stay there & I was upset at how different the pics online looked to the actual place. We moved down the block without refund because it was prepaid nonrefundable prices. I don't recommend it much less for families.
No parking available and internet only works in lobby. Holes on ceiling and dirty rooms.
Looks a bit like Las Vegas. We hat Here a great first breakfast. The rooms are okay and clean. Also yo can find a nice Pool in the backyard. Only strange things is, that there are very much Police officers. Not sure if they also life there
Had a good experience with the staff. Very friendly and professional. We had a good sized room and good location. Breakfast was good selection of food. Thanks for everything!
We stayed here 3 nights, and 2 out of the 3 nights there was no hot water in our room. We also had to ask for basic amenities, like a blanket for our bed, which we had to ask twice for and took 2 hours to arrive. The hotel is regularly plagued with vendors who come in and try to offer to sell you things, heavily armed Federales, and taxi drivers that bother you every time you leave. There isn't even any coffee or juice available for breakfast, just a "discount" buffet from the hotel restaurant.
I don't believe this experience was "it's just Mexico", because the next hotel we stayed in was much nicer and in line with what I'd usually expect from a hotel.
The restaurant have an excelent food menú, it is cheap, and the service is very good
