Loved the resort, wonderful service. We stayed there Feb 14 2018 for about a week. The hotel staff accommodated my request for a room with a balcony and we were so thankful for that because the view was beautiful overlooking the beach and the room was so spacious and clean. Enjoyed the stay at 1 play at 2 deal they had so we were able to use the royal solaris pool next door and eat at their restaurants. The beach was nice and they had plenty of lounge chairs and there was always someone coming around taking drink orders. The food was just ok, snack bar during the day was yummy to eat while lounging on the pool. Drinks were pretty good not too sugary or watered down. I only really liked one dinner restaurant, Veneto I think I was called, the steak was delicious. All in all, ready enjoyed our time at the resort.

Love coming here each Thanksgiving week. Nice rooms, caring staff and vastly improved dining.
UPDATE: Just completed my 2017 week here. I was wrong, food hasn't improved--maybe gotten worse. But it's still a nice place to kick back.response / report this review -

There is always room for improvement. The only things that I didn't like about the GR was the cigarette butts all over the beach and garbage, it would be nice to have more shaded areas on the beach and more chairs, you can hear your neighbors very well through the door joining the rooms, rooms could've been cleaner, the restaurant and bar time list in the rooms needed to be updated (the snack place by the pool is not open from 12am to 5pm lol), and they wipe out your coffee mugs and glasses they don't give you new clean ones and don't take them out of your room. I will come back to this place for sure my wife and I fell in love with this resort because it actually looks like Mexico not some random hotel. It is very beautiful here and the staff is very friendly and helpful. And the FOOD all I have to say is WOW! The restaurants and buffets were amazing and of course the the drinks too. We were here for 7 days and it wasn't long enough, we will come back for 10 or more next time. Thank you Solaris we had a great time.

Gr Caribe treated us extremely well from Day 1 to Day 7 or I could say Start to Finish. I couldn't believe we got 2 hotels for the price of 1 and our was the quieter more laid back one. The Food was excellent, and always plentiful. The Staff was attentive and kind. The Resort was clean and well looked after and House Keeping always kept our room well stocked, clean, and gave us our privacy on the days we needed it. I definitely recommend this place if you are a couple, or a family.

I have never had a complaint to share about this resort! This will be our 4th trip back to Cancun, in just a couple of weeks and I cannot wait!!! We did try a different hotel last year just to experience it. It was a very nice hotel but we missed "home". So, this will be our 3rd year back at GR Caribe. I am more excited than I have ever been. The staff are extremely helpful and excellent in service and make you feel so welcome. American servers and those who work in retail could stand to learn a great deal about customer service from the workers in Cancun. It's always been a lovely experience and I pray this year still proves true for us. The pools are wonderful, the food, the entertainment, the shopping, the rooms, the beach filled with shells (if you love picking shells like we do), the staff.all of it has exceeded our expectationsevery time and this is the reason we are going back again. I'll never forget my first time at GR Caribe trying to get my suitcase to bring into the hotel and the gentleman stopped me and said "No, Miss. You are now on vacation." And they took our bags and had them sent promptly to our room. So, from the luggage carriers to being greeted by staff with a smile and a margarita upon checking in at the check in desk, to their gorgeous lobby with a large swinging bench and lights that take your breath away, night walks on the beach, activities, breakfast, lunch and dinner with an array of foods, bars, swim up bars, and lounges, quiet areas to read or visit and still enjoy the ambiance, to the last night we are there, we have NEVER been disappointed. I would recommend this resort to couples and families all over the world.

The hotel is beautiful, I really appreciate the architecture style. The beach is clean, nice and quiet. We got upgraded to a ocean view room because the hotel wanted us to become members, they also gave us a free tour to Tulum for listening to their presentation and showed us the best rooms in the hotel. The members we spoke with we're very unhappy with the fees they pay for the membership and all expressed it is not worth it.The food was good, taste great, but they seem to served Mexican cusine almost everyday. I love mexican food so I enjoyed it very much, but my friend is a pescaterian and she was bored of eating the same things, said there was not enough varierty. Room service took very long at night, usually an HR wait. Overall the hotel is very nice and the staff very are friendly and hospitable.

I've stayed at a few all inclusive resorts in Mexico and this is definitely a solid experience. The rooms are above average, there is very little confusion about what is included with the stay, the common areas are beautiful and well maintained, and owing to the fact that this resort is connected to and affiliated with the neighboring Royal Solaris resort, it is huge and you are granted the full use of both properties. Tons of pools, tons of bars and restaurants, plenty of beachfront, lots going on. As usual it's a slight challenge to find vegetarian food and the quality of the food is a bit below par, but there is so much to pick from that you're bound to find at least a few things you like. Also check-in is a burdensome process where the concierge takes up too much of your time which I assume leads into a sales pitch about timeshares -- you have to cut them short and tell them you just want to go to your room, no big deal. The rough edges don't detract much from the experience and I'm glad to have stayed here.

My wife and I visited for our 25th wedding anniversary as an all inclusive paxkage, and we had an excellent time. Great location, good food, and great staff. I would go again and highly recommend it.

Moved from Royal Solaris next door. Better food and service. Powerful and large shower. Good hairdryers. Drinks in real glasses at the bar. Good choice for Cancun all inclusive.

Rooms ok, beach and weather were awesome as to be expected. Resort staff were exceptional and amenities we're good. Sister resort (Royal Solaris) offered more for children but was easily more crowded. Food was good at each location. Waited on all day, everyday by the pool and at the beach.
Downside: slippery everywhere. Day we left was a wash out and wife fell down the main entry stairs on the way to plane. Be careful near pool too.response / report this review -

The beach is wonderful and immediately there. the view from the rooms is excellent and the atmosphere is lovely. The food is good, but nothing outstanding when it comes to room service. The drinks are excellent, the service is prompt, and the rooms are comfortable.

The staff here is always the best. The food and drinks are amazing and the hotel is beautiful but the staff really makes it incredible. They are so friendly and go above and beyond to help you in anyway they can. Go for the staff and stay for everything else!

I'm never coming back to this hotel The facility is a disaster- needs improvement in every aspect- Renovation through and through is the key! The food is just OK. The staff are the only plus to this location. They all seem to do their best to accommodate the guest's needs. I could go on on.. but if you are on a VERY tight budget, this might be the place for you cause you can freely(99%) use next door's facility-spa,restaurants, POOL.. so you might be satisfied. The biggest plusses- Bogavante restaurant with ocean view- breath takingbut at dinner, lift up your feet cause the cockroaches that walk the floor might be as big as your middle finger. The beach- is amazing but so it is along the whole coast so next time , I will spend my money some place else.
