I ended up having to stay an extra night in Mexico because my flight got cancelled due to engine failure. This place handled 100+ guests showing up ..flawlessly!! The rooms were beautiful as was the beach front!! I had a chance to have dinner outside while watching the sunset..my dinner, was the BEST dinner I had in Mexico the whole time I was there and I had stayed at a much larger, more well known resort! I would definitely recommend this to anyone!!

On day 3 of our trip. Staff here are so friendly and helpful it is great. A little pissed right now though, we paid extra to stay in a beachfront walkout room and they have just set up a makeshift kitchen about 150 feet away from our patio and there is a dance floor about 300 feet away. Yes I know they have weddings here but there is a whole beach to have it at. Why does it have to be so close to our room??? We won't be able to enjoy our patio tonight as I'm guessing it's going to be too loud to sit out here!! Not happy about wasting the extra money on an upgraded room. Pictures show how close they are.

Stayed here end of March. Overall- it was a nice location. Resort was clean, rooms were clean, everything was well-kept. I was with a group, all in our mid-twenties, which we found there was nothing to do after 10pm on the actual resort. Everything closed down, except the front bar, which occasionally had live entertainment but nothing crazy.
They keep their entertainment on the D.L. but there's a sign in the lobby that has it all on there. Make sure you take a look at that everyday so you don't miss any cool shows like the Mayan dance show!
Overall- good experience. I would stay there again but it's extremely family-friendly. If you're looking to stay up past 10pm I would try a different resort or consider traveling off the resort to the nightlife.response / report this review -

We were here for a week in early April 2018. To start with the good: The place itself is nice, you can tell that it's undergone some recent renovations. The rooms are nice, clean and airy. The main pool is well taken care of, and the lounge chairs are new and perfect. The beach is well maintained and plenty of seating, cabanas, loungers. Overall, the property looks great and is exactly what you'd expect from an all-inclusive.
Now for the not so good: With the understanding that the property is obviously still under renovation, it still leaves the guest with not enough options. Dining was a big miss. With at least 3 options still closed, and the Italian place being a huge miss (the food was honestly just plain bad), that really left you with 2 sit down options. The Mexican place was fantastic, and the buffet is just that, a buffet.
The front desk situation leaves A LOT to be desired. There were 2 people in front of us checking in, and we had to wait over 45 minutes for them. It then took them a half hour to check us in. Guests arrive after spending hours to get here. The goal shouldn't be to make then wait hours to check, but to get in and settled quickly. I lost a pair of sunglasses, and again had to wait nearly a half hour just to ask someone if they were in lost-and-found.
Overall, I think Panama Jack can be a fantastic place once they get into their groove, they're just not quite there yet.response / report this review -

Decent resort and all inclusive. Helpful staff and great rooms with working AC. Wish they had a larger pool, with an adult section. They have a kids area but people still bring the entire family to the shared pool. You have a 50/50 shot at a warm shower.

Me and my other half spent our first holiday here and was it such an experience! From the time we arrived to the time we left the staff were absolutely amazing! Constantly wanting to help and are super friendly. Whatever you want they will do for you. The staff are what makes this hotel superior from the rest. Even if it was out of their way they would do it. The maids are very polite and professional. The hotel is always being cleaned which makes it a delight! They have multiple classes and events ongoing which makes the hotel interesting, we also got to release baby turtles which was a fantastic experience! Even though works were ongoing they didn’t affect our stay at all! I can’t fault anything about the resort. It was an amazing holiday!response / report this review -

There was no indication at the time of booking that the resort was under construction. (Stayed from 10-23-17 to 10-27-17) We upgraded our room because the picture showed a deck with lounge chairs. Our room had a hot tub and was wide enough for two small chairs. It rained while we were there and the room partly flooded through the sliding doors. The food was terrible! The only place that was good was the Italian place. We ate there one night and had good food and a good time. We went back a second night we were seated immediately but waited an hour to get food. The drinks are weak but if you ask for a double they will happily do it. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Great family resort, food was good. They have a burger stand up on the beach for lunch, those burgers were awesome, make sure you try those! Beach is clean, we did get ants in our room, but they moved us right away. Service was great, and the areas for the kids are perfect!

The junior suite has absolutely no view of the beach. Air conditioning is preset to 76 and shower doesn't have hot water. Staff is great and food exceptional. I was hit up by Platinum Service talking about orientation and benefits and told me to attend a promotional breakfast. He made me give my word I'd attend and it seemed like it turned into a time share sale of some sort so I changed my mind when the phone rang at 8:00. I was ill and couldn't make it. I said maybe later around 9:00. Platinum reminded me to bring my credit card. That's when I decided nope. Platinum called againwould have been a 4 star but over the top bunch at Platinum.

Food was repetitive each day. Found 'bugs' in my first room. The upgraded room was better but the hotel overall is dated. Rained 3/5 days that I stayed and the resort leaked everywhere from the ceilings. The beach area was nice and the segregated kids pool was a good idea. Staff was overall very friendly and helpful.

Would definitely recommend this hotel! Good customer service, food is amazing all inclusive - 4 restaurants to choose from plus 24 hours snack bar. Right in front of the beach, unlimited free drinks at the beach bar. Pools - Adults and kids, play area for kids too.. At night they have fun shows to watch. Relax in their spa and also the hotel has a picture service,they take good quality pictures but for a price. All in all great all inclusive hotel! Enjoyed our stay.

For what we are paying, this was a great deal. The staff are just wonderful people, service is great, beach is perfect. Restaurants have a wait if you go during peak times obviously so go early or late to avoid the wait. Was a mix of families, couples, and spring breakers. We had an awesome time and overall it exceeded our expectations.

Came here for a relaxing spring break and apart from the time I spent in the sun, it was incredibly sub par. There is no way to make a reservation at any of the "restaurants" so you either need to eat right when they open or wait in an incredibly long line all night. The pool was really small and not enjoyable. This hotel is unbelievably loud and the walls are paper thin. Whether it's obnoxious music coming from all directions or drunken men banging and screaming at your door at 3am, it's relatively impossible to get good sleep. There are no thermostats in the rooms, so I'd say ours was about 78 degrees the whole week. The worst part of it all, was the fact that EVERY girl I was with got food poisoning at some point or another. Absolutely would not recommend this place unless you plan to eat off property, which makes "all inclusive" entirely pointless.

This hotel has its positives and negatives. I had a group of 30 stay here, we booked 2 queens for rooms. We got there and were assigned rooms with a king and 2 cots. They did not switch our rooms. If you lose a room or towel key it is a $10 or $35 fine. If you want to actually get into a restaurant before 10pm you have to wait in line a half hour before it opens to get a table. The lines get very long. Staff was nice and helpful for the most part, some rude. This hotel is a very loud atmosphere and always has activities going on. I could hear everything in the hallway when I was sleeping and that kept me up all night. Food at the restaurants was good. Good wifi most times. Lots of cabanas on the beach!

Our stay here was amazing! The room, the staff, the food everything was good especially our one and only favorite server Manuel aka manny! He is a great server and would definitely recommend people to go!! Everybody treats you like their your friends! Love love this place! I would definitely recommend people to stay here!

It is great here! We did the all inclusive and it was the best choice! The food is great. All the employees are always there to provide anything you need. We have a view of the beautiful blue ocean from our balcony. You can leave the door open to get the wonderful sea breeze. The main lobby is really open which makes it great for socializing and meeting new people.
