Very nice place. Quaint and affordable. Bathrooms are nice and clean and so is the rest of the Hotel. In house restuarant, bar, and pool. I would definately stay here again. Note the rooms seem small but have enough space with a unique floor plan and decor. Face it though you don't come to this hotel to stay very long in the room.

It's nice and cozy! Overall relaxing, staff was kind-hearted and helpful! But.. No wifi, TV or key card.. So if you loose your key.. Expect a cost to replace it Beds are nice, firm but clean and room was also clean and The ac Kept the room nice and cool! Overall, for the price and location No complaints! Oh Definitely eat at the neighboring restaurant/stands SOOOO good, neighborhood seemed pretty safe! Cops everywhere, pretty friendly!

Modest and cosy little hotel located a few hundred meters away from Chichén Itzá's south entrance. The service is great, the room fare is affordable, and the food in the restaurant is pretty decent. Keep in mind that the rooms are small, the internet service fails from time to time (no WiFi in the rooms). But who cares! Being so close to these amazing Mayan ruins is priceless! Make sure you buy the Amaneceres ticket to enter the archeological site at 6 am (exit at 8 am). This ticket is sold only in the north (main) entrance.

Having been here only a few years past, I can only say it has gone downhill in the strangest ways. No Wi-Fi in the rooms, removing the atm, the breakfast becoming downright bland. Even the toilets got downgraded, being very loud and not completely clearing out. And no fans?
I get that you're not supposed to waste days in the hotel, but there are a lot cheaper places to just sleep between ruin visits.response / report this review -

Its changed a lot in 4 years I've been coming here. Broken screen in room letting in major mosquitos. Black mold around AC. Phone in room doesn't work, nor the computer in the lobby. No wifi no matter what they say. Cheap wool blanket itched so bad i couldn't sleep. Cheap detergent on sheetsitched! Pillows so big i got neck ache. Bricks! No one was eating at restaurant. After a meal or 2.. No wonder. Slow. Bad. Hamburger buns for toast. Eggs under cooked, chicken undercookedcoffee SUCKED!!!!! WHO messes up coffee? Pretty placecompletely rundown in rooms. Hallways nice!!

Rooms were nice, location is near perfect for visiting Chichen itza. Hotel food is very touristy and you would be better off going into a nearby town. Would likely stay again though just for the location.

I'm only giving it a three due to the wifi situation. Everything about the hotel is wonderful, its in a beautiful setting, our hotel room was clean, no issues at all. It was just the fact that the internet or what they claimed to be of it, barely worked. The signal does not reach the rooms and if you do manage to connect, the server dies every few mins.. it was stressful since we were trying to find info to stay in Guatemala.. if you want to get away from internet though then this is the place for you. They have their own restaurant so you never need to worry about food. The back entrance to Chichen Itza was very close and practical. No need for a taxi. This is place is worth coming to again but with the mental attitude of checking out of the cyber world.

We booked two adjoining rooms. One room was tiny with only mattresses on slabs. The bigger room had a broken air conditioner, so we did not get any sleep-- it was quite hot.
The hotel is not kept clean. There was a large group of men that sat by the pool drinking and smoking for hours. The mess of bottles, glasses, and cigarette butts they left behind stayed there for hours.
The staff were not friendly, nor kind. Very different from everywhere else we stayed in the Yucatan.
As many other reviewers stated, WIFI was a no-go. It didn't work anywhere for us.response / report this review -

Cosy, small, nice designed and very quiet hotel with pool. Nice people, fair pricing and good food. Optimal base to start a visit of Chichen Itza, because a not so well known and so not overcrowded side entrance of the site is nereby at the neighbouring property. The Ik Kil Cenote is in the near jut down the road too - an outstanding place and very famous not least of the cliff divers world championship 2014
