Nice rooms and great location. Right in front of the market. Staff is also very friendly. Only problem was that there is not much noise isolation.

Very beautiful hotel, friendly services, affordable prices. A minor problem: people may have trouble using the access card to enter their rooms creating some noise for others there.

Good hotel in a nice area in Mexico city. A short walk (12 minutes walk) to the closest subway station (Patriotismo). The staff always kept our room very clean. Just 2 negative things: (1) AC didn't work properly; (2) You can hear when people close the doors from the other rooms (I can sleep thru the night tho).

We stayed here after an Air B&B nightmare, and Hotel Escandón had everything we needed and expected from our accommodations. The staff was pleasant, knowledgeable and so helpful. The location wasn't prime (the neighborhood was quiet and besides a small local market a block down, there wasn't much else in close walking distance), but La Condesa was a 15 minute walk. Very easy for uber drivers to find! They do not have an accessible entrance.

great location, tons of food in the neighborhood, quiet nights after 10pm.

there are a few things that could be slightly better
1. the pillows are rock hard and huge.. and even though there is a "pillow upgrade menu" they only had 1 of the 4 other options.. so that was hard on my neck but I made myself a pillow with an extra blanket.
2. the sheets are very very rough like sandpaper hurt my skin

other than that,
1. I still feel like they deserved 5 stars because the staff was incredible. Front desk AND the restaurant. they were helpful to me even though I didn't speak Spanish.
2. housekeeping did a fantastic job, I work at a 5 star hotel in Las Vegas and this hotel is perhaps even better in this department. I was impressed.

I hope to come back again

Basic, but super clean and surprisingly affordable. The building dates back to a time when Art Deco and Soviet design splendor were mixed in harmony - this can only make sense to you after you stay here and see it for yourself. The biggest plus is that they have a full restaurant downstairs for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
