Was supposed to be at the Seadust from 3/29/18 to 4/09/18. The stay was wonderful until 4/06/18 when I went to the pool bathroom. Sat on toilet and a hotel employee started moping the floor. When I came out on the glass wet floor, I had to stop for someone coming down. When I took my first step with my right leg, it did not stop when it touched the floor. Broke my left hip and hit my head. From there it turned into a nightmare. Paramedic and hotel employee carried me to lounge. Was placed in wheelchair and taken to hotel doctor. Worthless hotel medical. Only concerned about hotel liability and how I was going to pay. Hotel employee and wife took me to room and left wheel chair. Never saw anyone from hotel again. Left the next morning for hospital. Medical air flight home for $14,000.
BE VERY CAREFUL IN POOL BATHROOMS
FLOORING IS WRONG MATERIAL
POOR HOTEL FOLLOW UP
This hotel was a very nice place. We had a fantastic time. The spa was amazing. The only problem was we didn't have hot water but the hotel was very accommodating and offered us a new room. Loved it
What a great time. Plenty of family activities, such fun staff, a decent variety of foods, and a great view. Best of all, our sunset view was a great value! Sure there was construction next door, the climbing wall was out of service, and you have to walk a lot because the place is so big.. but I would definitely come back!
Rooms are redone and modern but the quality is like my buddy's basement project. Doesn't take away from the experience for me but fair warning for others.
Staff is super friendly and while tips are not required.find a bar that is near where you want to spend a lot of your time and tip 5 bucks day 1 and then a buck or two every day after for your entire group. They will love you. Remember your drinks and give you hidden liquor only available to select tippers.
Food is fine. Typical all inclusive buffet quality. The variety is nice. Sushi, oriental, pasta, pizza, meats, cheeses, Mexican, deserts literally everything you could ask for. Each station has 1 or 2 items they will make fresh.
Pool is great, kid friendly but areas for adults as well. Food and snacks are available all day outside. Group activity like volleyball, water pollo etc keep it fun.
Specialty food available at night. Food is only okay again but service is good.
All in all, great place to bring family or a group of friends.
My family liked it lot. There are activities for everybody. They play pool volleyball, beach basketball, regular basketball, mini golf, a zip line for small kids. The food is delicious with many options, no one from my family got sick
. Restaurants are welcoming all families, only one is adults only. The evening shows are beautiful and lots of fun. The staff is very polite. The child care is also on a good level: there are rooms for small kids and teens, Xboxes are available in teens club and the Sports' Club. I took one star away for our room did not get cleaned up on the day second to our last despite the fact that we left the room empty and left all signs needed for cleaning. That was the only bad thing.
There were a lot of things that couldn't be helped and they did they best they could, but they had to move us from a room on the 11th floor to a room on the 2nd floor because there were unexpected issues, there was loud construction most of the day (we were there during the off season), and some things that were listed as "included" on their website were only included if you listen to a one hour presentation. I felt a little tricked. The resort was nice; great pools, great gym, and helpful reception desk.
It is a nice place to stay, the service and hospitality of the people is great they are very kind and generous.
The bad things are that they are doing some remodeling work on rooms of it smells and you can hear the hammer noise. I can understand that because this is low season.
The kids area was very safe and clean, the pirate ship pool and the other pools very nice time with my lil girl she had great time there.
In general all was very good, the room amenities, the restaurants are nice and good food, shows at night are good for the family.
The worst hotel we have ever been. One room was clean another room had bad smell and bathroom was dirty. There are large fans outside of hotel that you hear even with closed windows, fans are running 24/7 and it is like slipping next to airplane engine. The food was super terrible. We tried to eat in several restaurant and food is not fresh and you do not want to even try it. In morning we made several circles around buffet and good found something you can safely eat, all food do not look fresh and appetizingly, so we ate bread and milk. Fortunately we were able to check out on the next day and get a refund from expedia. I would definitely not recommend anyone to try this hotel.
We are coming a fair distance and have spend quite a bit of money to check into your resort in October. We have been looking at the reviews from the past couple of months and are concerned about
air conditioning. Do you anticipate air conditioning problems to be taken care of by then? I hate to spend so much money and travel time to be disappointed on a room that is being advertised as having air conditioning and doesn't work appropriately?? Or only to be supplemented with a fan or portable air conditioner. Should we find another resort? Will we be guaranteed a room with the amenities advertised for??
Thanks
I was just here last week and I do not recommend this resort. The AC did not work in our room nor my room key. They had to bring in a window AC. The resort itself is beyond hot and even going to dinner at the restaurants was uncomfortable because the AC felt like it was in the 80's. Food at the buffet was not good. You are better off ordering room service. This resort is all about money if you lose your card for towels they charge $30 and $200 for a bracelet. When I booked my room, they told me I could only pay the deposit and when I check in I would have to pay the remaining balance. Checking in I was told a different balance and said why if I was told this much. Their excuse Susana Flores made a mistake and gave me the wrong balance. Overall, I would not come here again! Not a good experience for my family’s first trip to Cancun.
We are here now and wish we where not. The place has no A/C. The room has been no cooler then 84 degrees. You go and eat and once again no A/C. I like to have a cool place to return to after a day at the pool with my kids but no such luck. Also do not like to sweat when I am having any meal of the day. You will at all meals. The infinity travel people try to pressure you into buying into there time shares. Literally almost got into a fight with what the called the manger of the group. Waldo done a great job but do buy into the bull 2 1/2 hours wasted and not to include it ruined the rest of the day. Over all until they get the place up to date just stay somewhere else. Not the staffs fault they are sweating to.
This is a great budget family friendly resort. Staff was very caring and kind and always helpful. The rooms were a good size and had great views of the ocean. Everything was always sparkling clean from the pools to the rooms. Kids club staff was very attentive and fun for the kids as well. The buffet food was ok, but was always delighted at the dishes served for dinner at the restaurants.
Horrible experience to ruin the trip. Expedia and this hotel flat out refused to accept a credit card payment because I was not traveling. I paid for a trip for my dad and it was a nightmare. Last minute rebook at another hotel. Save yourself the effort and headache, go somewhere else.
We stayed for a week in February and OVERALL we enjoyed the place. It was beyond our expectations, however there was one huge issue with the staff at the reception desk. Most of them but one, a Russian girl, were all rude and unprofessional. They made it clear their job was to spill every possible penny out of the guests. Besides we were given a lousy room with really loud refrigeration units under the balcony from the nearby Iberostar hotel. Curtains didn't work and the shower was broken. More importantly the toilet was stinky. Of course they didn't care and left us in that room all week long notwithstanding our requests. Pedro, one of the supervisors at the counter takes the cake. He should be reassigned to maintenance or any other not customer facing job.
Has nice time. We had VIP treatment just because we took all inclusive ocean view room. Amazing views. The beach was nice. Food was ok at some places but the sushi restaurant was awesome. Drinks were good. I think over all its worth the trip
This place was FANTASTIC! My husband and I were here for a week. The staff Here are PERFECT! Julian and Carillo (all of the bartenders really) were fabulous, Raul the chef, FRIENDLIEST GUY EVER, Alejandra the mini-golf girl, Juan the bellhop, and of course I can't forget Santos our Nexus tour guide (along with all of our excursion crews through this service) all helped to make this the most wonderful vacation either of us have ever Had! Thank you to all of my new friends at the Great Parnassus! We will see you again soon! ❤
This was my first stay in Mexico, I came with my family and let me say it was a trip to remember and we did not want to come home! The rooms and hotel were clean. The food was good with many different dining options to choose from. The location of the hotel was convenient with a lot to do in and around Cancun. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The highlight of the trip was the fun we had outdoors with the entertainment staff. The entertainment staff made sure there was always something to do. Both adults and children were kept busy and amused. Sometimes sitting at the beach day after day can get boring but thanks to the entertainment staff, that wasn't the case! We particularly loved beach volleyball, which we played almost everyday and looked forward to! The entertainment staff did a great job of getting everyone involved and excited about the activities. There were so many things to do like morning yoga on the beach, beach soccer, beach volleyball, water basketball, water polo, water volleyball, mini golf tournaments, poolside trivia games, and a timed game of paddling around the pool on a surfboard while trying to retrieve certain objects. There is also a water park for the younger children and the babysitters did a great job with my children. Particularly Lorena! My family had a blast on this trip. The entertainment staff were the biggest reason as to why we had so much fun and made memories that will last a lifetime. Patricio always urged my family and I to try new things like mini golf, water games, beach volleyball and more! We are very glad we tried new activities when he invited us. Manny, Justin, Carlos, and Monica had fun with us as well with beach volleyball, water aerobics, musical trivia, or a simple walk on the beach. There was always something fun to do with the entertainment staff. They were very exciting, positive and helpful with giving tips on how to do something if it was new to us. The entertainment staff spoke great English and even taught us Spanish, which we are very happy about. I loved how the entertainment staff took part in activities along with us, we had more fun that way and bonded with them, they felt more like friends to us than workers. The entertainment staff was very personable and got to know us as we got to know them, we were sad to say our goodbyes as we will very much miss hanging out with them. We will always remember the fun we had with the entertainment staff at the Great Parnassus. Memories were made that will last forever.
