I was at club med over spring break, and it was really nice. the weather was beautiful, and there was a ton of different activities every day. It was always something to do for every age group!
The resort was incredible. They seemed to have activities that catered to all age groups making it the perfect place for large families and friends alike. I was able to get PADI certified there and the process was great. I would recommend this resort to everyone.
We just spent a week at Club Med Cancun. I would like to thank GO Reginald, James, and massage therapist Carmen for making our trip great. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy. I have been to many Club Meds. This one is tops.
We did not know what to expect never having been to Club Med but Club Med Cancun was a delightful treat. The grounds and views are postcard perfect. Our room had a fabulous view overlooking the ocean with a balcony that offered us a place to have coffee in the morning. The on site dining experiences were all very good. The offerings were plenty choices many French inspired desserts and dishes. We felt very safe and secure in our Club Med room yucatan.
Nice rooms, spacious and clean. The beach is very nice, so is the lake. I found a really good deal so it was very cheap. Buffets are ok, not too good, but decent. Staff is too friendly they want to sit with you when dining. Very close to Cancun airport.
Absolutely amazing place with blue seas and lots of fun activities. The staff is always amazingly friendly and the food and drink is abundant and fantastic. I only had 2 issues: on rainy days when we were watching TV the only 2 English channels were very boring (one plays the same movie on a loop for a straight week) and that the TV's standby light was so bright was so bright it made it difficult to sleep. What I appreciate about this place though is they make a real honest effort to make you comfortable and entertained, they don't try to over plan your day for you, and they don't monitor you like a child. I will be coming back!
Beautiful resort. Amazing staff. Specialty premium drinks are amazing. The bar staff and the rest of the GO's and GE's make you feel at home. Definitely coming back here soon.
I have so much to say about this place. I would like to start off with a few negative experiences I had. When we first arrived, the staff took our luggage for us, which was great. They said they would take it up to our room for us shortly. We waited in hour in our rooms waiting until we had to call and ask for our luggage. They gave it to us shortly after that. Another problem I had, was the walls are thin. You can hear your neighbor making noise. It has to be loud or next to the wall in all fairness though. So much of what was there to offer at Club Med makes up so much for my minor negative experiences. I would like to talk about the staff. They were very friendly and wanted to converse with you if you were sitting down. They are even nicer if you speak Spanish as well. I would like to name some staff that were very noteworthy: Edwin was a fellow monitor of the hotel. He would enjoy our company and even sit down with us to have a meal if you invited him. The waiters were very attentive and nice. Orlando and Maria were the names of the two who made this experience very wonderful. Our hotel maid Oralia was very good at her job. She always put loose valuables in a safe place if you left them out. She always put our blankets and other bed comforts in a very organized way and overall, she just did a great job. I would like to talk about their food. The restaurant I went to was located next to ping pong tables and the outdoor pool. This was an all inclusive buffet. They cook the food in front of you and serve it onto a buffet plate for you to pick up. They had several great varieties ranging from American, Italian, Mexican, and Seafood. The food was terrific. Their desserts section was very noteworthy. Several desserts neatly arranged and looking appetizing. Overall, the food was spectacular. The drinks were all inclusive. They even made virgin drinks in case a younger one wanted something fancy to drink. I must mention the beaches. I would advise moving more to the left for a better experience when swimming. The more you move to the right, the more seaweed there is and it's very odorous. I will mention that there is hotel staff out there all day everyday making all the effort to minimize the seaweed. Which is uncommon at some hotels. There is parasailing if you find it. It's really easy to find. It costs extra but it's worth your money and the boaters do a very responsible job of strapping you in. There are snorkeling ranges located on the rockier side of the beach. They offer you sanitized snorkels, flippers, life vest, and masks. It's fun and worth your time. Other activities they have here in case that's not enough is: Archery, organized volleyball, tennis, basketball, and group activities. They have massages there that cost extra but it's worth it. They really make an effort to make the experience a wonderful one. Overall, this is one of the best hotels I've ever gone to and I am definitely returning. I look forward to it.
Great entertainment, awesome amenities and kids club but the food is average which is surprising for a French manage and run resort!
Having the best time. My third visit here in 20 years. Chriselle, Nelle, Sebastian, Eden, Martha, Carlos, Sergio just to name a few, made this time around that much more memorable.
This was our third time there. It is going down hill. Brand name booze is extra, special food is extra. Still a great beach but staff were not friendly or what you'd expect at this level of resort.
First, the cons: Most of the buildings need to be freshened up and the rooms are a bit outdated. Wifi works extremely slow.
Having said that, the truth is that you're not supposed to spend much time in your room, anyway.
We were a party of 31 people between the ages of 1 and 70 and all of us had an amazing time. Many activities to choose from, and as always great job from the GO's and the service team in general. The genuinely healthy family atmosphere is what sets this place apart from other of the (oh-so-many!) options in Cancún.
Families who intend their children to attend the Mini/Kids Club, however, should be aware that most of the kids there will be speaking french/english -maybe some a bit of spanish- but that could be an issue for integration.
Food was fresh and excellent at breakfast and the buffet. I hardly got a chance to try out the à-la-carte restaurants as we were such a big group, but you could stay at the main restaurant for an entire week and never be bored by the options.
The pool is good (not great, as they could have a shallower area for smaller children and more showers to rinse off before entering) but the beach area is great in regards of sand and swimming quality. Not all resorts have good access to such clear water! Also, it is really close to the main buildings which made switching from beach to pool very easy.
Another plus: it is very close to the airport, but not close enough to be disturbed.
A big THANK YOU to the team Robert from GOs, Claire from group management, Paul from the sailing sports area, and all other staff from the restaurants. It was an unforgettable vacation!
Great and amazing place. A lot of activities, very good service and great food.
One thing that important to know! if you are fan of water ski than the water ski in Cancun is taking place in the lagoon while you can see from time to time alligators in the lagoon. The Club Med team are aware of that and they claim it is safe to do the water ski in the lagoon.
Apart from the above issue all activities are amazing: Trapeze, Saling, amazing parties etc.
The bed is extremely small for adult and if you want to buy anything at the store in the resort, the price is super high. The buildings look old and shabby compared to the other hotels along the coastline. The only reason I add one more star for this resort is that the people working here are nice and helpful. If you are the type of the person focusing on the quality of room, this is definitely not a good place to go. Besides, the tours the excursion company provides make lots of profits off people.
THIS TRIP WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!! I don't know whether it was fun because I went with my friends, but I stayed in Aquarius (second-best) and they had 2 rooms separated and I was able to have a sleepover. The food was great and there were so many things to do even though I didn't go into kid club. And even though you had to purchase wifi, I think that is a great idea because if not we would be just on our phones. And overall the trip was amazing and i cannot wait to visit again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no hot tub at this location however the style of the resort we liked better than the last club med at which we stayed. The location right next to the beach makes the views spectacular and unforgettable. The biggest down side was out room was very humid and smelled moldy/mildew when we arrived. I had to ask front desk twice to send someone. The second time to actually meet with me. We settled on a dehumidifier they had on hand. The room was frequently at 90+% humidity which required the machine to be on pretty much all day and night. The noise was no where as annoying as having to empty the machine about twice a day. I am not sure how common that is to happen however I will not be going back to this resort.
Incredible vacation spot. Best location/property in Cancun - multiple beaches letting you move around depending on wind/weather. Incredible snorkeling - eagle rays right off the beach. Super friendly and talented staff. Tons of activities to keep you and the kids busy. Very diverse and interesting clientele - nice European vibe. Five minute drive from airport. Excellent food variety and the quality was better than expected. No bargains to be had during holiday weeks.
Beaches lovely, food good, a good exercise room, rooms adequate (although humid to the point that our suitcases gathered mold in a week) drinks were thankfully watered down (don't bother with the wine) so why only three stars? Because of the noise. We have gone to this resort for several years, and every year it gets louder. The management seems to think that if one loudspeaker is good, two are better, and by now, they are in double digits. It is inescapable, except and unless you exile yourself from the common areas. It is relentless - from dawn (or nearly) to beyond dusk. The essence of ease is tranquility, but here, they replace it with frenzy. So, management, if you read this, what would you do about it? Do you really think that your guests enjoy being in an environment that registered on my dB meter to be the same as being inside a cuisineArt? The needle quivered around 90dB, far too often. I would like to retain my hearing - I hope that you share that concern, and will make steps to quiet your resort.
