This is the first night if a 6 night stay. The service is outstanding. The staff is really friendly and willing to help. This promises to be a great experience if the last few hours are anything to go by

Wow, what a place! Thank you for making my life beautiful, my holiday divine and my expectations exceeded. I've been so impressed with your professional, friendly and timely attitudes to all my requests - and always with a smile! Ms Fatima was the first person whom I met when I had a query/problem, which she and her front desk team sorted out for me. It was seamless. The Boat House staff (you know who you are!) made my every day special - think I tried every single activity, nearly, - and you taught me, coached and encouraged me all along the way - thank you! I've loved it with you all and I'll be back, soon I hope! So, now a bit about the facilities; I spent quite a bit of time at the gym. With 3 separate rooms, cardio/studio/weights & strength equipment, there was lots of choice. I took a couple of Aquagym classes which were fun and well attended. Breakfast buffet was delicious with everything you desire plus an unexpected treat of champagne! The most impressive thing about this hotel, apart from the staff that makes it such a fabulous place, is the long, white beach that stretches and stretches, probably one of the best one on the island.

Nothing much historic and sight seeing in Mauritius.Its just relaxing at sea beaches for olds and sea activities for young.
Sea is beautiful clean water and beautifully maintained beaches.

Just surprised one. Very good service and satisfying rooms. 5 star property. Nothing to complain. Pool is superb superb and superb. We enjoyed a lot of time in pool. Restaurant is good. Strongly recommend for.

Very nice resort with comfortable rooms, nicely landscaped, we enjoyed the pool at the crescent. The staff was very friendly. The kids enjoyed the teens club and kids club. However we eere desapointed by the breakfast buffet. For a 5 star resort, it does not have the variety and quality of food that i expected to see on a five star resort. For example only Emental and Adam cheese, fruits section did not have oranges or grape fruits on the buffet. The omlette was not what i requested.

Even if it is 5 star resort, they should improve few things. For inatance:

- Service in the bars/restaurants. Sometimes we had to wait for a long time to get the drinks menu and get the beer.

- Food was ok but nothing amazing for the price you have to pay. We could find many more restaurants in Mauritiua in the hotels whose quality/price ratio was better.

- Insects in the room. We noticed one night the problem reported in previous post.

- The coffe in breakfast was not good. They should have Nespresso machine or similar to offer proper coffe.

For the rest, was a very nice stay. The beach is really good for anyone: couple, families. Water activities are very good as well, we enjoyed a lot snorkelling.

Its the wrost place in my whole trip. I had to change rooms FOUR times because of COCKROACHES and the hotel told me its because of the "weather". How ridiculous is that at a resort like this?. They need to change the whole bathroom for cockroaches to be gone. The wooden material floor in the bathroom is rotten and its the nest of cockroaches. Should i be thanking them for the room they gave me at fourth time which was a double bedroom? I had to sleep because i was too tired and couldn't be bothered more. In addition their room smells bad as well i had to buy an air refresher spray to keep my room air fresh. I thank the hotel to ruin my last night of the honeymoon.

Amazing place. The restaurants are wonderful, as well as the staff. I strongly recommend to book the rooms which have an outdoor shower, because it makes you feel in the heart of the nature.

Truly spectacular room and nice ambience. Quite good food with tendency to be a bit gourmet-wannabee. Very attentive staff and waiters.
Only drawback are the drink prices: a cocktail over 12 Euro and wine bottles 50 Euro upwards (costing not even a tenth in the next supermarket) are a bit too much.

THIS HOTEL HAS DONE so much impact on my life AM BEING serious ..like you go to the hall its like they treat you like princes and princesses .One time i went there and the people all around despite being crowded were incredibly nice ..it felt like a local community on its own ..you dont feel a sense of reject or being subject to bully by random uncivilized habitants ..it's all pleasant and dearing ..i welcome you with a big smile to that hotel and do check out their activities and menu they are over the top !!

Nice and quaint beach hotel. Good snorkeling right outside although not the clear aqua blue water of nearby beaches. Good little bar and restaurant attached.

I came to visit my parents who were staying at the resort. (I'm living and working in Grand Baie.)
I was told, after we had dished up, sat down, ordered a bottle of water and began eating, that I could not be in the restaurant with shorts and I would have to leave the restaurant. As he said this, a boy of about 15/16 years old walked behind me in shorts to which the manager said that he is a child. There were also women walking around in mini skirts and short shorts.

We were told, very loudly and impolitely, in front of a full restaurant that we had to leave because I did not have shorts. It was extremely embarrassing and we will never be coming back here again. We are platinum, recurring guests with club med, and even with a lower star rating, we have never been treated this way there!

More expensive doesn't always mean better.

After a second night in Mauritius we changed the hotel and immediately the holiday feeling changed as well. The atmosphere is just exquisite. From the second you walk through the gates the experience is unforgettable. The variate in food is great and all kind of sport activities.
