The beds were unclean, food was cold and terrible. Do not recommend
Nice location. Cheap food at the neighborhood
I would have rated the hotel 4* at the beginning of my stay. However at the end of my last day, the attitude and behaviour of reception staff were completely changed. As soon as they know it is your check out time, they talk to you like dirt, they only interested when you get out, they are moody, all they care about is money. They dont have any microwave or heating facilities to heat any foods, although they have a kitchen. Also the breakfast is from 06.00-10am. However whats on offer is not exciting, they have tea, coffee and hot chocolate but there's no milk available. The rest is eggy bread which is cold as they are left from 6-10am, boiled eggs with its shell, sweet pasties & jams. The swimming pool in there i believe is for decorative purposes, the water is cold, the only living thing i saw in the swimming pool was a bird washing his feathers in the pool. The bedroom is very spacious, it has its own balcony which is nice for summer. However, the tv channels are appalling, you only have upto 4 channels that are available, the rest are unavailable. There is one english bbc news channel but depends if it is available. The rest of the channels are in french or arabic.
Very nice place. Bathroom was not great. Shower curtain could do with a cleaning.
Wanna-by 5star, rooms are clean and well organised. Great view and also inner garden with baseins. A bit old furniture and pipes.
Rooms are big but service and food are bad
The hotel is in need of TLC. But the rooms are clean and roomy
Very good and quite place with good staff
hotel meriem marrakech
Smail Haddad: I stayed at Meriem last November. I had enough time to track details, know almost all the staff and every interesting corner of the hotel. It was a very agreable experience. There are many things I like about the hotel, but what I consider to be a priceless asset of the institution is the staff. From the security guy at the main entrance to the owner of the hotel himself whom I had a real pleasure to meet and talk to, through the receptionists and the food and beverage guys, there was not a single time when I was not agreed warmly, served regally, and thanked sincerely for the visit. I will not worry about where to stay whenever in Marrakech it's Meriem!
Average rooms, good location for new city
I didn't like at all this hotel. People from the reception was very mean and not helpful at all. The rooms are old but clean and basic. The bathroom curtain was not that clean as probably it is too old. Comfortable beds but the worst breakfast in Morocco so if you stay there don t even think taking breakfast there. The place for breakfast was dirty, nobody helped us giving us at least a spoon, so we left the place. I don't recommend this place as you can have better service for the same price.
Staff are lovely, but it's a old hotel with poor facilities, got this hotel on wowcher and I wish I booked my own hotel as I could not stay. Checked out and went to the le savoy which was a gorgeous hotel
