Very friendly great FREE tour. The host is a lovely lady and she shows you around her entire garden and factory. You are asked to buy some tea at the end but for only 500 rupees for a big bag it is easily worth it! Would definitely recommend

Beautiful people, wonderful herb and tea garden and delicious tea tasting. Couldn't recommend enough. Tea is sold at local prices, so you can bring home all that goodness. Tour of the garden and factory, with tea and tea tasting, is free.

This tea factory has 80 years of history and process tea from the local farmers as well as their own.
We decided to pop by and never expected such hospitality from the owner. The lovely lady of the house showed us around the tea factory, tea farm and the herbal farmsuper friendly and kind! Nice to taste the good variety of tea and reasonable prices if you want to buy some.

Very friendly family run business. Owner and his wife showed us around. There is no entry fee. But at the end they expect you to by some tea after the tasting which is totally reasonable. They inform you about this right at the beginning. We were a small group of only five people. We came by bus from matara with the no. 360/1 took us about half an hour. Going back they helped us get a bus back to matara. They were very friendly.

Wasn't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised about the extent of the tour and the fact that it was led by the owner but also the incredible knowledge and passion that he has for tea, herbs and demonstrating this visitors. You'll need to give yourself a few hours for this tour. Another example of the friendliness and generosity of the Sri Lankan people

Stopped for a visit in the afternoon, the owner was very welcoming and took us on a tour of his gardens and tea plants. He gave a great tour and explanation before we went inside the tea factory. We then finished with a tea tasting. Complimentary tour with an expectation to buy tea at the end, but they were very friendly and not pushy.

Worth taking a couple hours away from the coast to visit.

Absolutely amazing tour, the herb garden is amazing and the Tea as well. The Tour is for free, guided by the owner itself. After the tour you can buy a tea for a fairly good price. Highly recommended.

Great experience - the manager gave us a professional tour through their botanical garden, drying facility and the tea factory. Complimentary iced tea - delicious orange flavour.
Tea tasting later in modern customer centre. All of this was free.
Bought bunch of teas as presents for my family at good price

A great place to visit if you want to see a real tea factory. The owners of this place are very nice and super friendly. The tea tasting is very good, this place has absolutely some of the best teas we have tasted in Sri Lanka and the guided tour in the factory was very interesting. And the owners are very happy to show you around and tell you how tea is made. Highly recommend a visit to this tea factory, so much better and more genuine than any of the other tea places we visited in Sri Lanka. Would love to come back for another visit when we visit Sri Lanka next time :)

Die Teefabrik ist der Hammer. Wir entschieden uns spontan dort hin zu fahren und wird n sehr herzlich vom chef empfangen. Er hat sich sehr viel Zeit genommen und alles erklärt. Keine klassische Verkaufs Veranstaltung sondern richtig informativ. Man merkt das er Spaß an seiner Arbeit hat!

Amazing experience. Free entrance and interesting tour. Very informative. Tea tasting was so good. We had a private tour by the owner for 2.5hrs. ended up buying some flavoured tea. So good that is worth a visit. Although the factory is small, You see the whole process of tea making. So worth it.
