Best coffeeshop in Unawatuna. Kat really knows her coffee and she gets the good stuff. Also great desserts. Nice place to hang out and chill, read a book or have a chat. Definitely recommend a visit here.

Cozy place with good coffee. Owner don’t mind to make drink with soy or any other plant based milk if you bring it with. Two lovely kittens playing around. Air conditioned place.

Menu is a little limited, but the food is healthy and well priced. I love the decor here and the owner is lovely. The coffee here was the best I had in Sri Lanka.

Summary : good coffee but a expensive place for the food

Food : veg questitidila, veg sandwiches (2)
Cold brew , iced coffee
The drinks were served without sugar, so add sugar as per taste. The quantity of drinks served is generous. However the food was disappointing. The sandwiches for eg , while ok in taste but we were served only 2 slices of bread which quite frankly does not justify the cost. The questitidila was slightly better though.

Ambiance: the ambiance is casual. Very comfortable seating. Some seats are creatively created out of bicycles.

Value of money : probably not that worth it unless you are going for the coffee

If you miss a really good coffee - you need to go to Kat's Coffee!!! There you will find good coffee, tasty hot chocolate, fresh soda juice and very tasty cakes! After our long trip through Iran and Sri Lanka, I missed a good Latte so much. And finally I got it there!

Coffee-loving people of the world, go try out Kat's! The best flat white in Sri Lanka, without question. And we should know. After taking many a detour across this beautiful island in search of fantastic local coffee (a staple crop here WAY before tea took over, and plenty still produced) made espresso-style with farm fresh organic milk, my flat-white- addicted partner and I finally gave up and had tea. Albeit amazing tea but we are proper addicts. The day before our last we discovered Kat's Coffee utter perfection! I wholeheartedly recommend a morning in the light, bright, welcoming cafe with homeade cakes for a beach break too. Thank you, and keep up the anazing work, Kat!
