Here's the thing, this is an incredible place to chill, have coffee (superb btw), watch the waves, do yoga but do yourself a favor and trust me when I say don't stay here. The girls dorm I was in was damp, sticky, and smelled bloody awful. My clean pillow smelled sour.. The fan is stationary and doesn't reach any of the beds and it's an extra 1000 rp for ac, so there was no relief. Paying 1500 rp for this is unacceptable.

Hangtime is amazing! They have such good coffee.. never disappointed. I drive 15 almost everyday to get a coffee haha can’t find another place that has better! Had there chips (amazing), smoothie (amazing) and bought some super sick yoga pants for a decent price. So yeah hangtime kills it.

Great food up top. Fantastic views over the bay. Certainly not a "local" restaurant, full of tourists. Pizza on pasta night is ok but nothing to recommend.

Awesome place to hang out and meet people! Dorms are nice, clean and spacious and the coffee is incredible! Would recommend it to everyone!

One of the coolest hostel I've ever stayed in! Amazing colorful building with large dorms and lots of places to hang out: the roof top is amazing. They offer wonderful yoga classes and rent surf boards. Amazing atmosphere and full of nice people. Also the little shop on the rooftop sells sick shirts.

It's a nice place but not so welcoming. Been there maybe 15 times never seen anyone coming saying hello
So great photos in social media but reality kind of differs. Also they pre-fry their fries and become a little oil soaked guess its standard for Sri Lanka. Food looks good in plate but doesn't have great taste Burger dry meat etc.

The guys who operate the Cafe are truly awesome. They set the standard for surf school, yoga, coffee (yes, they are obviously Aussies) and great affordable food blends.
Hang Ten, the cafe, overlooks the whole beach and is a particularly good spot to chill out of the sun and in a nice fresh ocean breeze.
Everything hits the spot for their target audience, including very affordable accommodation that is a cut above others.response / report this review -

Definitely the best hostel/accommodation I have been to in Sri Lanka! Close to the surf beach (other side of the road, you can watch the waves from their roof top) and the center of Weligama. Amazing food at their rooftop restaurant (with fast wifi), and very clean rooms!
