A good way to get away from the heat during your Angkor Temple tour. Local music was being blasted while I was sitting there at noon, when the sun was highest, but I didn't mind. The cool breeze more than made up for it.

Nice lake .. it’s use to be a common bath place there.. the water is still clear and it’s not to busy place .. a good stop to take a break .. you can easy buy drinks and food around!!

Nice place to watch a sunrise and few people go here. There's just a big water feature and not much else. There's a small temple across the street that opens at 7:30

Came here for sunrise at the advice of our tuk tuk driver. Beautiful reflections off reservoir. Very few people here.

Went with very high expectations to see the sun rise, but sun came out very late due clouds! I think majority of the days may be like this. But the wait was rewarded by the serene experience. The solitude, chirping birds, the old statutes of serpents standing gaurd over centuries, multi coloured sky reflecting on water. It was a good experience. Stunned by the visionary ruler who initiated this project!

If there was ever a place that encapsulated the innocence of a culture that is trying to modernise, this is it! The remains of one of the greatest civilisations the world has seen has been in ruins for centuries and it's still right here in Srah Srang

Place is very good and quiet, also not crowded. I have no ideas but i find this place very relaxed and very nice, may be it's because there's less crowded in this place. When we went there last year, I accidentally found the rainbow over my head after rain fall, the best moment of my life with this place.

This is just a big baray and the platform overlooking it is pretty basic. In comparison to the other baray, it is not that big. This spot has some shops so it would serve as a good pit stop for lunch or drink break. Sit on the bank and relax under some shade.

One of the main temples in Siem Reap or rather a temple complex. It's rather big and quite tiring to cover the full area non-stop especially if you have kids in tow. Dont bother taking strollers, its not the right kinda of place for it.
Read up hindu mythology to be able to relate to carvings in the temple.
Local guide might help but they always in such a hurry to complete things.

Amazingly big artificial lake, dug in 10th century and used both as water reservoir and sacred lake, having the temple rising from the middle of it. The temple is completely destroyed, the only remaining thing are the big serpents on the bank looking towards the center of the lake. Once, this must have been a magnificent site, but now really few things remain here to be seen. If you are not planning to come here for the sunset or the sunrise (which seem pretty beautiful based on all pictures I saw), you can skip visiting this place because you won't find any inspiring views during the day here.

The legend said it was the pool for the king. You would not be able to imagine about its size until you saw it. The carvings Naga on the shore are delicate. Overall it is good to be part of grand circle for sightseeing.

This is a great place to watch the sunrise in the morning. There is a jetty at the centre of the western bank which is ideal for viewing.

Afterwards you can visit the street food stalls at the north west corner for breakfast. I recommend having rice, pork and omelette.
