Very pleasantly surprised with the simplicity, cleanliness and efficiency of this hotel. I was expecting something closer to Motel 6 or Super 8 in the USA where paying for a budget hotel means you get an old and dirty room. This place was impeccably clean and even had a semi-premium shower head in the room. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the operations of the hotel is deadly efficient (you check out via vending machine!).

the location is great, walking distance from Sannomiya Station, shopping districts, chinatown and harborland. The rooms are small but really cozy !

Nice business hotel. They have a good soft drinks all you can drink from 15:00 to 24:00.
Breakfast came included in our package. It's worth the ¥1,100 on it's own too.
The room was clean and the shower excellent.
Reception staff on 2F were attentive and helpful

Perfect. Inexpensive, nice breakfast, comfy bed, lovely powerful shower, quiet, efficient, English speaking staff, no nonsense fast wifi. It could benefit from a gym.

Good basic hotel. Room was clean and not too small for a single traveller. Excellent location overall close to main downtown area. Good range of food nearby although not in the hotel. Rooms were clean and not noticeably dated. Check in and check out efficient. Loses one star because unlike most places I've stayed in Japan, they have no facility to ship luggage to next hotel - you have to lug your bags around the corner to the Family Mart for this (the most challenging bag ship experience I've yet had in several trips due to language barrier).

I have repeatedly used Tokyu REI in Motomachi, Kobe. The location is simply fantastic. Literally at the entrance of Japan's biggest Chinatown, on the most hipster neighborhood in Kobe and just a short walk away from Sannomiya, Kitano and the American Park. It works for sightseeing, shopping and chilling in the many local cafes.
Staff is super friendly and the laundry service is a life saver.
We've found out the last minute rates drop considerably online, so don't be afraid to check it out for same day deals.
