Good hotel for solo travelers. Close to transportation, shopping places, restaurants and combini. Be around with office buildings too, so safe.

Great location. Not far from Osaka station. Unfortunately this was the only good thing about the hotel.
The room was very small and the carpet had stains on it and was very dirty. The decore and bathroom where very out dated. The bed was uncomfortable and for about 2 days the room smelled like sewage. I am not sure whether they were having plumbing problems however the smell was quite unbearable at times.
I wouldnt recommended this hotel to friends or family.response / report this review -

The location is pretty good. About a 10 minute walk to the main Osaka station and Daimaru but it is safe. If you are in Osaka station it is best to take the Sakurabahsi exit to get to this hotel.
The room was nice overall. Unfortunately the AC didn't work and the main light switch was impossible to find. After searching all over the room I found it on the night stand.response / report this review -

Had a pleasant stay in Monterey Osaka! The decoration and building are designed perfect, such as the elegant elevator, beautiful church and the euro-styled lobby are really great. Though the room was a bit tiny but the bed was so comfortable!
Suggest provide early breakfast box option for guests. Because I took the shuttle bus to airport quite early, and I checked-out at 06:00 am with nothing to eat. If you could offer the breakfast box/sandwich box for the business traveler to order that would be helpful!response / report this review -

What a great stay! The aesthetic of the hotel is certainly unique (and charming). The rooms have more than enough space, and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom has every amenity you could need, and maybe this is a universal thing in Japan but the waste pressure is amazing!!!! Also, the staff left us flowers, a card, and sweets to celebrate our honeymoon. All in all, a great stay!

Located close to Osaka station. Large room size (for Japan), large bathroom size with excellent bathroom amenities (amenities typical for Japan). Unique architecture and interior design, including shutters that block all light from outside. Faint smell of smoke despite nonsmoking room - not enough to irritate, but enough for the sensitive to notice. While the windows block all train nose (evident when the windows are open), sounds from other rooms bleed through the walls. This hotel seems set up for weddings in particular, with its own chapel, salon and reception halls.

Convenient location by Osaka station, a Japanese take on European style. Hotel is showing its age, but good size room and good service. Sound deadened windows, so you won't hear the trains all night long.

Convenient location close to transit. Yummy Japanese and western breakfast buffet. Cozy rooms. Oddly enough, a church recreation within the hotel. Interesting.
