Rooms are tired looking and needs updating. Close to a bus stop but not very close to shopping or tourist areas.

The quilts were smelly, the washroom had water clogging and my room door doesn't look properly. Bad experience overall

For the price, this hotel is a fair choice.
In the good side:
Proximity to Gion and attractions.

The room was tiny. It was as if I was in a boat.

Comfortable hotel, good location and amazing and helpful staff. I stayed last year during spring and the staff where so very helpful with everything. can not recomend them enough am staying again when i come back in August on principal alone. Amazing place

Pros: Cheap for the location – though we did visit in low season. The lobby has a vending machine with alcohol and a washing machine.
Cons: We booked a non-smoking room but it stunk of smoke – especially the bathroom. Everything was very run down and dated. Our wall had black mould all over it – we didn't complain though as we were only staying a night and didn't think it was worth the struggle with the language barrier. The bathroom is tiny and the bed was uncomfortable.response / report this review -
