  Places that have the equipment to toast 1 inch thick toast available 24 hours a day are a true treasure and seriously enhance any tourist experience. Quite why other countries have not caught on to the one inch sliced toast experience is a total mystery. Maybe when the normal alternative for breakfast is rice and soup it induces an innovative spirit!

  Nice hostel and helpful staff. Cosy futons and clean showers. The shared rooms are atmospheric and have a lot of comfortable pillows and seats. The kitchen is nicely stocked with pans, potts, cups usw. as well as cooking oil, salt, vinegar and other basics. It is my boyfriends favorite hostel and we would stay there again.

  Great location, near Nijo Castle and a bus stop with direct services to Kyoto station. The staff are friendly and helpful, with excellent English skills so there was no language barrier during check-in. The dorm beds have curtains offering privacy and a huge locker for luggage. Free tea and coffee available all day and a kitchen to heat food purchased from outside. Would definitely recommend this place 👍

  Staff I very friendly and speak very good english. I've stayed at both their hostels in kyoto this one as well as the Hostel Mundo and loved both for the tatami futon style. A very homely and friendly atmosphere. I can only recommend.

  Relatively close to bus stations and trains so it's easy to access. When I stayed I was in one of the 8 people dorms. The "room/bed" is actually pretty spacious though the bed was slightly uncomfortable. There's WiFi and free tea. Shower, laundry, stove and fridge are all provided. The staffs are also very kind. Overall I enjoyed my stay there and I recommend it to those dropping by Kyoto for a quick stop.

  I stayed here for two nights in the 8 bed mixed dorm.
  
  The hostel itself is small in a cozy kind of way, and all of the staff I interacted with were very kind and friendly!
  
  The mixed dorm is a small space, with two levels of cubbies. I was really surprised at the size when I first saw it, but the sleeping spaces (cubbies) have enough room in them that I felt comfortable! You can also store your belongings in a lockable chest that is inside each cubby. The people sharing the room with me were quiet and respectful! I came in November, so the nights were a little chilly, but the room was a comfortable temperature.
  
  The hostel has a little garden/courtyard where you can either hangout or take a smoke. To get to the bathroom and showers you walk alongside the courtyard, which is open air. There is also a common room where I spent the reorganizing my belongings and planning my stops for the day.
  
  Overall, very pleasant stay!
  
  PS: Free coffee and tea! Hairdryer available at the front desk. Bikes available for rent at 500¥ per day. Fridge available for you to store things in And more. :)

  Rooms are small and packed, pricing very good. Location is very central and close to the bus as well. Staff is extremely friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here!

  Neat building with a garden in the middle. Clean and the staff are very friendly. Beds are a little uncomfortable.
