Comfortable bed and pillow. All room facilities, including air conditioner and air purifier cum moisturiser, function properly. Bath room is new and has modern design with separate shower room (with bath tub) and toilet compartment. Breakfast has plenty of choice and good quality of food. All staff are polite, helpful and always smile to you.

I arrived here a bit early and asked if I could get an early check-in. The front desk informed me that while they could somewhat accommodate the request (they could get me in the room an hour early), they'd charge us around $20-30 for it. I've never experienced something like this at a hotel before. Regardless, I chose not to take the deal but was offered a free upgrade for my room when I tried checking in again later.
Other than that, nice and clean hotel not far from the train station. However, the hotel itself is situated in a not-great part of Kyoto. Nonetheless, it's still a short walk from a lot of cool areas.response / report this review -

Good location, around 10mins walking from kyoto station. Brilliant breakfast buffet.

Polite and friendly front desk, close to Kyoto Station's south entrance, staff speaks English pretty well, small room but pretty normal for Japan, free wifi which works well in the room, has a gender separated bath
