Big, beautiful room with an awesome bathroom. Very fancy in an old-fashioned way. Three stars bc *unbelievably* unfriendly for families. No one under 20 is allowed in pool (which costs Y5400 to use) a fact which is not mentioned on the website. Zero channels a kid could watch, and not even a single younger kids' option among the pay per view items. Y7000 for a child's cot, and we had to ask again for a pillow. Small stuff like no plugs by the bed for phones and a request that you call down if you don't need new towels daily (the opposite of what most hotels now do) gives the place a dated feel. Also, although this isn't a fault of the hotel, it's location is pretty isolated - no restaurants or anything much nearby (except in a basement mall). Might be better outside summer when walking is more comfortable.

The breakfast is very good with a lot of quality food. The service is very good and helpful. The rooms are good, a little bit dated but the bathroom is more modern. You also can for example close the curtains with a button from the bed. There is a free shuffle from the station. The subway is 10 Min away

It's hard to find better service anywhere. The rooms were great, slept like a baby and the view is breathtaking. The shuttlebus makes for easy access to Osaka station

Very nice hotel by Riverside and close to cherry blossom park and views. Large but well appointed with friendly and helpful staff. Had a last minute booking here after an enforced stopover following a flight cancellation. Rooms nice size and well equipped. Good choice of restaurants in hotel and in shopping plaza adjacent to it.

Cannot fault at all! Room was fantastic. Service was amazing. Location beautiful. Not in the centre of Osaka but a 4 minute train ride from Osaka. Would without a doubt stay there again.

Traditional 5 stars with excellent services. Well located about 15 minutes by cab from Namba. It also has a free shuttle bus bringing you directly to the centre every 15 minutes. Rooms are clean and offer everything you may need. The view of Osaka from the high floors is gorgeous. Highly recommended, especially for the price !

The Imperial Hotel in Osaka lives up to the name and is of equal or greater quality than the sister hotels. It's staff is incredibly friendly, rooms clean and well designed. The shuttle bus to Umeda (which goes every 15 minutes on week days and every 10 minutes on weekends) is a real convenience since the nearest metro station is a 15 minute walk. Great stay, would definitely recommend.
