Adequate hotel near the convention center. Concierge staff tries but doesn't know enough English and is too shy to really advise tourists. Gave us maps in Japanese! Restaurants on site are very poorly staffed. Chinese restaurant had slow service for that reason. Expensive Western restaurant was also poorly serviced. Did not give us coffee at breakfast until we asked several times. Odd.

Beautiful hotel in Kyoto. It's about 30 minutes from the city, but had beautiful gardens, koi pond and tea house. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed.

This is a very nice hotel in a beautiful location. The grounds and surrounding area are lush and green. I would highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful getaway near Kyoto.

The hotel is okay but it is just too old. The architecture is bad compared to most hotels now. Staff's were not as friedly as you think they would be. Room was very nice and big.

    Great Old School Hotel.
But they know what to do!
Sealy beds, Instant cup coffee, Seperated Makeup desk(Royal floor)
    Are Just like Mini-Suite room.

    Minus Factor:

    1. Souvenior shops at the lobby reminds me of Muongthanh Chains in Vietnam.
    2. Bathroom of Royalfloor(Remodeled)
Are not quite Up to date.
(I Mean If you only change Shower head to Grohe, than thats not remodeling)
    3. If you accept too much Package tourlist, Than this one dose not consider Highend Hotel.
    4. I just looked out for rates, and (Royal Floor) its about About 130-140USD in Septemer Weekdays. I paid more than Twice on August weekend. Mind about it!

One of the nicer and more spacious hotels I've stayed in for a reasonable price in Japan. Staff and amenities are friendly and convenient. Great WiFi access in rooms and lobby. I would reccomend to anyone and stay again.

Nice, spacious rooms, with a good selection of breakfast foods. The hotel is within a 30 minute drive of many popular sightseeing locations.
