  Great location, about 10 minutes walk from Kyoto Station. The attached bar has good deals on breakfast and happy hour drinks. Clean facilities, would stay again.

  This is a backpackers done with foreigners in mind, foreign language support (mostly English but also Chinese) is rife and certainly welcome and staff are eager to communicate in English but are not adverse to speaking Japanese of you so wish. Staff are kind and very accommodating. There are ample toilets and showers on each floor, with 6 in total including a rooftop. Guests are provided with keycards for the door and rooms are quiet with minimal sound leakage from opposing rooms and outside - at least this was based on my room on the 5th floor. There is a bar and mini restaurant attached to the building with two happy hour sessions a day for those that love to drink to unwind and a cheap breakfast option for those that do not want to go searching on an empty stomach. Bike rentals are also possible at a reasonable rate and other amenities such as towels, toothbrushes and shavers are available for a small fee and there is a laundry facility complete with dryer. Stayed in a bunker room with my companion and we were not disappointed. Highly recommended given its one of the cheapest and most accommodating options available in Kyoto.

  Staff were absolutely fantastic and so helpful! They were happy to assist in sightseeing plans and their English was great for 2nd language speakers. The hotel was about 10-15 minutes from JR Kyoto station and there was a subway station a few minutes walk away too. The common room and bar downstairs were great and the rooftop was pretty cool too. Amazing value for the price! Would definitely recommend it to a friend.

  The staff were really great, and the facility was clean. I stayed in a 8 bed mixed dorm and had awful room mates who didn't keep their beds clean and came in at 4AM. The on my floor there were 3 showers, 1 female toilet, 1 male toilet and 1 unisex toilet and three sinks, no vanity. If you need space or time in the bathroom, I'd suggest somewhere else otherwise it was great.

  Friendly staff, clean, conveniently located, and excellent price. There's a small bar attached with decent drinks and some snacks, as well as a nice lounge area with a kitchen and nearby washer/dryer room. This is my 5th time staying here and will definitely stay again!

  Nice inexpensive place near central station. Friendly staff. The rooms are large compared to other Japanese hostels. The mattraces are good. However our room had a bad smell.

  I stayed here for 2 nights in a private twin room. It's about a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station and pretty well managed with knowledgeable and friendly staff. The hostel is quite large, with 6 floors and a rooftop terrace. The common area is really nice and spacious and the our room was as well. The facilities could be a tad more well maintained, but that's due to the size of hostel and the people staying there, not the staff (I.e. one of the sinks I tried to use was full of little hairs and then clogged, the shower room had a slight smell, etc). Overall, I think this is a very affordable and foreigner friendly place for tourists and would recommend staying here.

  Excellent hostel. Staff were very nice and helpful. Very clean room and bathroom facilities. Lounge and kitchen facilities are a great too. Went to the roof and had dinner one night, nice view of hills and tower. Would definitely stay here again.

  Friendly staff greeted us when we arrived. Were very helpful and provided info on places to go and tours. Room was very small but functional. Good water pressure and heat. Would stay again.

  Great experience! Decent beds and blankets for the price your paying. My buddies and I had a good time here in the hostel. Although, their was one guy snoring the whole night (Not the hotel's fault of course) The reason why I give it a 4/5 is because the main living room was a bit dirty, especially in the kitchen. Would go back again.
