  Amazing surroundings this Amphitheater. The only one in the world completely carved out of the rocks.

  Walking a short distance past the Treasury you'll come across the Nabatean Theatre. This massive theatre has been cut into the hillside and is surrounded by nearby sandstone walls littered with ancient tombs.

  Originally it's Nabatean, but it's been expanded in the second century by the Romans to hold about 3000 spectators.

  Throughout this whole location you keep asking how they did it? The theatre is absolutely no exception. Carved straight into the cliff, you will just be in awe of its perfection, its colour and it's grandeur. Imagine this full of ancients celebrating the entertainment of a period performance - magical
