Pay for what you get really, staff were great. AC was turned off even though it was advertised, toilet shower combos meant that the bathroom was always flooded and some nice mould on the wall, TV didn't work and Wifi barely worked on the lobby floor and didn't work at all on our room floor.

Excellent hostel for a fair price. Clean and safe located at the heart of Amman. A room includes a local delicious breakfast. 5/5 would come back again. Big thank you to Jihad and Omar for providing excellent services.

Such a great place to meet other travelers. Lots of organised trips, wonderfully helpful staff who helped me so much when I broke my tooth there. By the way, Jordan should GE more credit as a dentistry destination, seriously good. Anyway, breakfast with plenty to eat humus, cucumber, Tomatoes, a weird sausage and some bean and eggs (if you don't expect scrambled eggs to be scrambled eggs - seems to be just mixed and cooked eggs in he region). Dormitories are just what you need and the man in he cafe downstairs is one of the best human being I have ever met.

45 USD/night/ 2 persons? Jordan is way to expensive for this low standard. Or this old-town of Ammann at least.
Sightseeing to old-town is nice, staying in it is a mistake I made. Being next to markets and main road, you will have your sleep disturbed as drivers still happily honking their cars past 10pm. Some shoppers also hanging around and chat. As it is an older building, don't expect double glazed window. So bring your noise-blocker ear-plugs.
The price you see online does NOT reflect the 40% charges on top of it. These charges are 10% hotel service fee + 26% city tax + 3% credit card fee. When you added everything it's end up almost double the price advertised. So be aware.
The beds are pretty good spring mattress. The staff also try to please us, as they see our dissapointment, with upgrade to room with bathroom inside. But again, it is the standard that was poor. It was a makeshift bathroom. Bathroom that just force built into a bedroom. The toilet fixing to the floor is loose, felt it almost toppled over when raising up from the toilet seat.
Back to the beds, the bedlinens were too small and not even tucked in properly. Mine almost all taken off from the bed, as I am a restless sleeper. The room only lit-up by one light bulb. On top of that the room is covered with the dark colours bedlinen, bedcovers, towels, and curtains; making it pretty depressing room. This one light bulb, placed strategically infront of your face so if you don't want your sleep to be disturbed, bring your blind out too.
Furniture errr, almost none. Basic tea/coffee kettle making huff, forget it.
So for USD45 / night for all the inconveniences is it worthed??? You judge it yourselves.response / report this review -

Its everything you want in a hostel. A little dated but very clean. Jihad the manager was awsome. Speaks very good English and I swear the man never takes a break. He will set up any tours needed and the prices are bout the best you can find.
The building is in the heart of downtown. It is a constant buzz of activity and actually the reason for 4 stars. I guess I am just not used to how Jordanians rely on their car horns.
If you go in the summer take a 2 min walk down to the Roman Amphitheater at night and mingle with the locals.response / report this review -

I love this place. Great price& location, small but clean rooms, but the best part is the people who work here are so sweet, kind, and wonderful! J. at the front desk, is the most helpful guy! Quick to offer his phone to help you, and never complains when you come in late and he has to come down the stairs and open the door.
Additionally, he helps arrange plenty of group tours they have available, chance to meet new friends and less expensive then other options.
O. The ever ready smiling assistant, he will shift your luggage with a smile no matter how many times you change rooms and refuse your tip! A magician with the historical building and its tempermental air conditioning and faucets, he never minds coming and sorting out any problem that arises. Breakfast is divine and keeps you set till afternoon when you wander off whichever Roman( or before) ruin into a local cafe. The lobby is airy, friendly, and open and you always feel welcomed and comfortable.response / report this review -

Stayed in a private double, which turned out to be a triple room, all single beds. Fantastic location, clean, good a/c, great breakfast, lovely communal area. Bathroom was a little too small and poor drainage from the shower. Organised tours are a good option, possibly a little overpriced (I say this as an airport pick up organised by the hotel is 30 JD versus 20 JD for a taxi at the airport). Still recommended as the room rate is excellent

Advertised on Hostelworld as a "hostel" but actually a hotel with some hostel style dorm rooms. Nice little hotel though and a good price for Jordan. Free breakfast is awesome and they do group tours, which may not be the best value but are really good.

I really had a great experience in this hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are always clean, food is delicious and the most important thing is that all the workers in the hotel are very nice and friendly. Shops, centers, restaurants, internet cafes, sightseeing, DHL, banks, are very close. You will really enjoy your staying in this nice and small hotel.

The Wi-Fi is like dial up and you can feel the metal bars though the mattress other than that this place is awesome with great breakfast and good social area

A hotel in the center of Amman, it has a policy of not letting couples share a room if they dont have their marriage certificate with them. We had to pay for two different rooms despite showing them our wedding pictures. Location is good but its a low end hotel!
