There was definitely an air conditioner issue as well when we were there the last week of September 2017. We opened the windows because there were shutters that provided privacy, but the mosquitoes came in! Our room was very small, and the shower was the size of an old phone booth. This was OK for 3 nights, but probably not good for an extended stay. For a positive, the daily included breakfast was very good!
Comfortable rooms. About 10 minutes walk to the centre attractions.
This was one of my worst experiences regarding hotels. The staff was very rude when we told them the air conditioning was not working in 100 degree Fahrenheit weather, the so called manager went to the room to see what the problem was and ended up telling us "I am not an a/c technician there is nothing we can do about it". We turned our key in while we went out and when we returned they claimed we did not turn it in, we requested for camera footage to prove that we did but were simply ignored. The air conditioning has a "trick" to it in order for it to work you must put it on "heat" and when you put it to "cold" it turns off. Would not recommend please save yourself the trouble and book at another hotel.
Rooms are very outdated, you can hear whenever someone takes a shower or uses the toilet above you. Location is not bad but not good. Not much around. Most people will have to catch public transport to see the sights. Staff wernt unhelpful but didn't go out of there way to help when we had questions about local restaurants. Was told there was none nearby and had to go into the city. Decided to check online a 2nd time and found about three a 5-10 minute walk from where we were.
Stayed for two nights and really enjoyed the stay. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Set in a lovely courtyard. Excellent terrace on the floor of the newer building open for guests. Parking on site €15 a day. Room comfortable but slightly dated. Plumbing not quite up to scratch, terrible smell coming from the shower drain at times. Air con worked but took a long time to cool the room in the July heat. Great breakfast.
It's filled with school tours, there's always a large crowd for breakfast. Also they tend to get very loudy at night.
Nice rooms, beautiful old architecture with also a new building.
A bit dated but overall decent. Walls are thin did you can hear neighbors
The rooms were old and worn and I in desperate need of a renovation. Do not open the windows as there are a lot of mosquitos this was during November so I can't imagine what the summer would be like.
Location wise it was further away from the Doumo than expected. It's about a 30 min walk to the doumo palazzo.
The hotel has a 4-star rating, but its rather a 3-star hotel in my opinion. Its quite modern, but the rooms (and especially the bathroom) are really small. Enough for a short city trip, but 4-stars are just too much. It looks modern, but if you look closer then it all seems a bit moldy. The included breakfast was good, not the biggest choice, but tasty. A really good thing here is the really fast and free W-lan! Had never problems with the connection and it was mostly accessible in the whole hotel area!
