Decent hotel, small room, smaller beds. The beds were very hard, the pillows were uncomfortable. I don't know if it's a European thing or what, but sheets only on the bed. The AC didn't seem to cool the room down much either. The breakfast was ok, but in a very small area, so we ending up standing once. If you don't get there earlier enough everything is picked over. It wasn't easy to find the hotel at first, but had great access to the train station, it's only good quality. Very very sketchy area. I refused to walk outside after dark. Transient central. The train station actually turns into an area for homeless to get food, which is great that they have access to food, but in an area where there are so many people and lots of kids and singles, it made me uncomfortable. No wifi in the rooms, we didn't know there was wifi at all until the second day. This made the first day a bit difficult trying to find a place where we could look up our itineraries. Very small elevator, so we hiked up the 6 levels, which doesn't sound like much but when you walk 8-10 miles a day the last thing we wanted to do was takes the stairs. We stayed in a great air B and B over by the Vatican area that I preferred MUCH better than Marco Polo. Our city view or courtyard view was actually the side view of another a hotel..I wouldn't recommend this hotel, nor would I stay here again.

They overbooked and sent us to a different hotel, same stars but much lower quality. In fact the rooms at Marco Polo were 240€ while the hotel we were sent to was 80€ the night.

The thing is, we demanded a claim sheet, but they didn't give it to us and we were treated very impolitely. The workers at the hotel do not speak a word of another language apart from italian so communication is slow and difficult.

I do not recommend this hotel. Book here at your own risk, if this happened to me it can happen to you too.

Decent location-20 minute walk to the Colosseum and many other common attractions are just as close. Two blocks down from the train station. The rooms are decent for the price point-smaller than average hotel rooms, but they're equipped with a mini fridge and enough storage room to fit at least one suitcase and multiple smaller bags or anything else that might go in a shelving unit. Didn't use service much, but receptionist was very helpful with anything we asked about. It's not luxurious, but would definitely recommend if you're on a budget.

WiFi doesn't really work very well, and you have to pay a lot. They over booked and had to kick a German family out to fit us in. The breakfast that is provided was withheld from us becuase we were a big group and they were saving it for the other guests even though we paid for it too.

The rooms were not to bad but it was in a dodgy location and the staff were rude and unhelpful. Someone in our group didn't get their room until nearly 18 hours after we arrived. Mainly it was the dodgy location that made it bad.

Stayed here in August for a little anniversary get away with my wife! On the whole we got what we payed for, we only payed about £320 for this plus flights for us both.
The location is great, as its about a 2 minute walk from the Termini..
Upon arrival we were greeted by a welcoming cool foyer as it was about 40 degrees! We got into the lift and went to the third floor, and were met at reception by a friendly guy who booked us in and helped my wife with her suitcase ( the charmer)
The room was small and basic but perfectly adequate with a clean comfy bed, decent sized shower wardrobes and air con.
In the morning we went to breakfast and was happily surprised with it, fresh fruits and cereal, pastries and bread, meats, and teas coffees and fruit juice.
So, location is great Hotel is perfect for the cost and everyone we met were friendly and cheerful also spoke better English than i spoke Italian.
So yes, I'd recommend this hotel if you want a cheap and cheerful hotel as a base for a sightseeing break

This is a good hotel, nice and clean and comfortable, we made a good choice staying here.
The room was very clean with brand new furniture & bathroom too. Location was the best for reaching termini station (its just around the corner ) staff were friendly enough to us, clean towels and maid service every day. good powerful warm shower. on our day of departure, check out was at 11:30 am but our flight wasn't until later so we asked if the staff could keep our bags and this was no problem. We will be back Marco Polo!!!!
