The hotel is good. Location is convenient to Termini and and shopping and some restaurants. The neighborhood is not so nice; maybe safe enough I guess at least during the day, but feels scary especially in the night.
One of the best Hotel in Rome. Really close to Termini station. Modern, with pool at 7th floor and American museum concept (a rarity in Rome). Did not taste the restaurant and cocktail bar yet. Great deep house DJ set on Thursday evening.
This is certainly not my favorite Radisson. It's on a convenient location by the train station, but walking back to the hotel at night I didn't feel particularly safe in this neighborhood. The rooms are cool, modern, but they are very small with almost no storage space. The rooftop restaurant has a nice terrace. Gym is appalling: very small, crammed, some of the equipment didn't work. Good for weekend getaway, but wouldn't stay here for longer
I would give this hotel a very poor rating for several reasons. It calls itself a 5 star hotel and the prices reflect it, but nothing about it is 5 star. The location is in a definitely shady area that feels unsafe after dark. The rooms are strangely designed and do not have even a basic cupboard. We stayed 3 nights and mostly lived out of a suitcase. While the breakfast spread is good, lunch and dinner should definitely be avoided here. The only thing we liked about this hotel is the service. The staff is polite and helpful so full marks to them!!
Overall.. unless you have a compelling reason to stay near the station, I would recommend that this hotel be avoided.
LOCAL COACH TOUR DESK - Ysabel who works on the Local Coach Tour desk in the Radisson Blu drew up a superb private tour for us with a professional guide (in french!) covering "hidden Rome" - a first off trip because it didn't exist before Ysabel made it for us. We had 3 hours of joy visiting the most insolite parts of Rome with the guide, it was bliss to drink his words based on the tour that had been established. This is the best way to visit a city and Ysabel and her partner will give you all the help necessary to do this or any other tour. A huge thank you Ysabel for your warmth and kindness - we'll never forget the tour you did for us, thank you.
It's the Radisson Blu, what else can I say?! You pay for the best, you expect the best.
I stayed here on a last minute whim after previous accommodation fell through and thoroughly enjoyed the stay.
The rooms are modern and designed cleverly to make good use of the small space. WiFi was fast, beds comfortable and staff very friendly.
I did encounter one issue though, when checking in I was quoted a price and told that it included breakfast, however when my brother and I arrived at the restaurant we were informed that we were not on the list for included breakfast, however he let us through when we explained what we were told the previous night.
Come to checking out and paying for the stay the price had suddenly taken a 50 euro jump, and on querying the staff they informed us that we had been charged for breakfast. Unfortunately they said they could not remove this charge but I would have to contact their manager via email and request a refund!!
Despite this hiccup the stay was faultless!
The room was pretty good, but The box of shower was broken. The restorant for breakfast was wonderfull.
Mine and my partners first ever holiday outside of the UK together so we decided to stay here at the Radisson. Although I loved Rome, Italy in general beautiful place. The Radisson was possibly the worst hotel we could of chosen. Upon getting into bed we noticed our sheets were unclean and covered in hair and other bodily fluids, a staff member agreed to change them. Also worn out dirty furniture. Radisson staff then kindly decided to move us to a larger suite free of charge as a sort of 'apology'. Random knocks on the door by staff at 3am which scared me and also finding that our belongings had been moved around in our rooms and luggage locks tampered with. I must say I came back from Rome after staying in The Radisson Blu with a coldsaw. I'm not prone to coldsaws and have never had one before in my life. My partner has since complained and asked for cctv footage to see which staff member had gone through our belongings and tried to get into our room at night, Only nothing to come of it just a offer of discount if we choose to stay at another Radisson. I was completely shocked by the service and staff here. Terrible
The location is convenient to Termini, but the rooms are bizarre. They also can be very stuffy if it is warm outside and the air conditioning is turned off in the building. We stayed 4 nights in mid-October, temps were in the 70s F and it was very difficult to get a breeze in the room, so it was rather hard to sleep each night. We couldn't open the curtains to get any air circulation because the hotel is U-shaped, so our room with floor-to-ceiling windows was faced by an entire wing of the hotel across a small courtyard. Sleeping with the curtains open while half the hotel watches me wasn't an acceptable solution. The worst part of our trip though was our last night when a floodlight was pointed from the top of the opposite side of the hotel directly at our room, at midnight. Even with the main curtains completely closed in our room, the light was still illuminating our room. I tried to call the front desk, but our phone was dead (it mysteriously worked the next morning). I went down to the front desk and explained the situation, while pointing out the massive lobby window directly at the floodlight. The front desk attendant did not seem to care very much, but tried to tell me that he would fix it. It took 2 more hours before they shut it off. There was no apology and no admission that this was an odd procedure. The attached picture is taken from the 3rd floor in the center of the U. The window on the left side of the photo is my room. I used no flash.
The contraption behind the bed in the shower. The bathroom is behind that, but it's just a free-hanging glass door that hides a toilet and gives very minimal privacy (ok, it's just an amplifier for any sounds you make in there).
All in all, I would advise readers to never stay at this hotel. I've given it two stars strictly for its location.
This was probably the worst hotel in terms of value I've ever stayed at. The rooms had these squishy linoleum floors with a dirty carpet on top. The shower leaked water everywhere basically flooding our room because the curtain was extremely flimsy. There was a blow up light that looked like a dirty diaper hanging on the wall. The service was probably the best part and I would rate it 2/10. Don't eat at the pool as it will take 1 hour for a waiter to come greet you; you'll also go broke and the food was awful. The location wasn't good either; we walked 1 minute outside the hotel and witnessed a women with her pants down urinating. There are no luxury hotels in Rome so I get that the standard is low, I just never thought a 5 star could be so bad.
