Hotel Santa Lucia was very accommodating, even before we arrived. They arranged last minute for an English speaking driver to pick us up at the airport. We enjoyed a one night stay with breakfast, and are still talking about the classic decor and wonderful cappuccino.

This was our second stay and we had 4 rooms total. The A/C in one of the rooms did not work, and we were given another room. Our most expensive room's A/C barely worked, never getting below 26.5 even when set to 18. We mentioned it to the staff, and they adjusted the thermostat down to 16, but it didn't change anything. It was not bad enough for us to complain again, but when we had another couple in the room it could not keep up. The appearance of the hotel was great as always. Views from the rooms were great. Very high quality breakfast which we recommend. The front desk staff was always very attentive, friendly and helpful. Most of the breakfast staff were friendly, but not as attentive as they should be with bringing cutlery and taking orders shortly after arriving. One of the breakfast staff always ignored us.

By the port, in front of the forte. Great location with good service. The interior design was great. The breakfast serves homemade pastry and very good ingredients they choose.

Staff was absolutely wonderful, breakfast was decent, but the actual room was a total letdown. For somewhere that is 4 stars, we expected a more updated room and nicer flooring (or at least a cleaned rug). The bathroom was very tight and outdated. We did not complain at all as we were on our honeymoon and didn't want to be bothered. The location of the hotel is absolutely wonderful though, so we would stay here again if we ever return to Naples. They were updating the rooftop and 5th floor while we were there, so hopefully they are updating all other rooms as well! We were disappointed that the rooftop was closed when that was a key factor for my booking there. Definitely book here, but call to see if you can get an updated room and if the rooftop is open yet!

In general we were very pleased with the hotel. Our room was large and had a great view of the Bay. The staff waiting on breakfast were helpful and pleasant. The breakfast itself was limited in extent but of high quality. There are a few negative points. We asked at reception if they could change a 50 euro note into, say, two twenties and a ten but were told to go to a bank! The jacuzzi in our room (106) needs attention: the drain plug to release water didn't work properly (the person sent to show the procedure didn't understand the problem) and apart from the light around the edge, the various functions failed to operate. The cold tap on the washbasin leaked at its base, sometimes to the extent that water dripped onto the floor.

We stayed three nights at the Grand Hotel Santa Lucia. It was recommended to us by friends who were married there some years ago. The location, right on the water, is lovely. The room, a Junior Suite, was grand, on a corner, windows on either side, a view of the bay and the Castel dell'Ovo. Service war friendly, efficient, and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent. We had a great stay in Naples and the Grand Hotel Santa Lucia was a major contributor.

This is a great, old world hotel. The staff was helpful (and in some cases, funny). The room was comfortable, with beautiful views, good bed, ample space in the bathroom, good wi fi. I will make this hotel my "go to" hotel in Napoli and will recommend it highly to anyone I know coming to this great city.

Some very nice rooms but the ones inside to the courtyard are not worth the money good location for a Naples visit.

Great hotel in a nice area of Naples. You can walk the avenue out front of the hotel and go to the Ovo Castle or many restaurants. Our room was clean and quiet. The bathroom was a bit tight, but ok. There was some mold in the shower that needed to be taken care of. Always an available taxi nearby.
