Lovely Hotel, ideally located near St Marks Square (Piazza San Marco). The hotel staff are very welcoming, attentive and were more than happy to help by proving us with a map & advise for our stay. If returning to Venice I would stay here again.

We stayed for two nights at the Dona Palace in Venice. The location is superb being literally a minute from Piazza San Marco. Everything is within walking (or Gondola) distance. The hotel has a small but delightful courtyard bar area - fairly rare in Venice, and a canal laps at the edge of this; It is the perfect place for relaxing with a Bellini as the gondolas float serenely by.
Our room had a larger footprint than our house; A huge bedroom, a smaller sitting room, and a good size bathroom with whirlpool bath and rainfall shower.
Breakfast was a well presented and plentiful continental affair. The service was courteous and very pleasant all round.
We would return to this hotel without hesitation and thoroughly recommend it to all.response / report this review -

Although very well located the hotel is quite old. The room have a shabby feel to them. The bathroom is very clean and modern. This is my first time in Venice and I'm not sure if this is true for most hotels. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

If you're going to Venice then the it's the place. Right in the heart of the city you are metres from the main sights and a short walk over the whole island. Great breakfast included and friendly staff.
