Nice place with a beautiful landscape! The owner has been so kind and available with us in fact she let us do the check-in even after the usual time. The bed was comfortable and big. The kitchen is well provided: it has everything you need to cook and was. There were also free tea, coffee and biscuits. There is also a fridge and a freezer as well as a dishwasher and two washing machines.
The place is the perfect place to watch the northern lights as it's far enough from the main road.response / report this review -

What a view! The location is perfect. The guesthouse (number 1 cottage) was a little outdated and the rooms were quite small, but it didn't bother us at all. Our host was super friendly!

We stayed here in 1997 when it was little more than a rural farmhouse with a few guest rooms in the semi basement and it was as wonderful then as it still appears to be now.
Even though we turned up with not enough cash to pay for the room, as we had got used to using a Visa card for almost everything in Iceland, Hafdis and her mother kindly agreed that we could stay anyway.
As we were about to leave we remembered we had a bottle of Canadian Whisky in our luggage that we had bought on special offer for $8 at Niagara Falls Duty Free.
As we had enjoyed our stay so much and knew that Liquor was expensive in Iceland we decided to offer it to them in exchange for what we owed for the room.
Later at the Blue Lagoon Hotel we were told that the cost of that bottle in Iceland would have paid for the room twice over. LOL.response / report this review -

The highlight of our trip.We got a warm welcome and enjoyed seeing the farm. Easy to get to but the most beautiful quiet location off the busy ring road.
