Not the best experience. Try to get hot water, they told me to go to another hotel 8 blocks away. And it that place (of the same owner) they treated me like garbage. Great guys, you rock!

HORRIBLE! Do not spend your money here! I booked 2 nights for me and my husband and we barely made it through the 1st one. Our room was infected with mold or fungus and it smelled so bad! We kept the windows open at 4 degrees Celsius (39F) outside and we still couldn't breath. My husband has an asthma and I am pregnant. This was the worst experience we ever had traveling! Next day we asked to switch rooms, but was told NO. I said that there is no way we stay at that hell of a room that God knows what respiratory disease we would get. They offered us full refund if we check out "right now" - so we did. More than 1 month later and we have not received our money. Also there is no way you can contact those people. Emails I sent came back not being able to be delivered. Nobody ever picks up their phone. Ever! Even while we were staying there. So for your own good - stay away from this place.

The room was run down and appeared to have been a converted service kitchen. There was a switch panel with tape over several of the switches, which were labeled with which of the building's lights they controlled. The only untaped, unlabelled switch was the light in our room. Many of the electrical sockets were beginning to work their way out of the wall. The shower in the shared bathroom had a broken hose connected to the shower head that caused most of the water to gush back down the hose. As many people have pointed out, Iceland is relatively expensive, but I felt that everything was of a high quality. This was not worth the US$129 per night even taking into account Iceland's general expensiveness.

For the price of 62euro per night for a double room, it's worthy, with private toilet.

Hot water wasn't so stable in shower and toilet leaked a bit and I had to hear the sound of filling water inside it all night(but i managed to fall asleep.)

I had the worst experience. There is no one at the hotel who will check you in, which is typical in Iceland. When you come in you have to call the number at the desk and they suppose to provide you with your room number and access code. I literally was calling nonstop for 2 hours and couldn't reach anyone. So if you booked your stay here good luck on getting a hold of anyone and accessing your room!

We had the suite. It was tiny but it wasn't bad. There is a shared bathroom and shower. The room also had a kitchen, fridge, and sink. There is also a game room, it's nice. We got some good pictures of the northern lights here.

This place is terrible and not at all like the website describes. There is no pool as pictured and it's not as quaint or brushed up as the pictures would lead you to believe. The walls are paper thin and there is no one here to help. It feels like you're all in one big room, which is the case when I stayed and another guest decided to use the communal television at 4am. They were loud and obnoxious. Also the front door doesn't actually lock so there is no need for the key code they email you as you can just open it up no problem.

The only, and I mean only, redeeming factor of this place is the view but there are other cottages or hotels around that have their own kitchens and are solo. Stay only if you have no where else to go. Rip off.

We traveled here in June 2014 and everything was perfect. What a place! Lost in the nature just perfect. Our room was pretty small but brand new and very clean with everything you need. And what a view through the window! Great breakfast upstair. Very good stay I recommend.

Great location. But run down and not so clean. We booked a room for two - got a 1.5 man bed in a room with noisy electrical installations in a damp smelling room.

Very noisy. Small bedrooms. Amazing location. No breakfast (even if they said there would be one). One couple arrived at the same time and the guesthouse overbooked them. They tried to call for 1h. No results. They paid for nothing. One employee arrived, she did not speak English, she understood the situation but chose to do nothing. She went upstairs and ate a bag of chips while being on her phone. Would NOT recommend, only on last resort (which was our case).

Just ok, no kettle to get yourself sorted cup if tea in the room. Seen much better places to stay for far less money. Keep looking if you respect my opinion.

Never again! After arriving no key in the keybox
3h tried to call- no answer!!! Booked online and nooo customer service! After 3 h I went to another hotel! Thanks for letting me wait in my vacation 3 h without any possibility to come in my prepaid booked room and than not even a answer on the phone/ email or a apologize!!!

The rooms are clear and the self check-in and check-out is efficient. But the door of the room was broken since it was very difficult to open and close. Breakfast was very poor and there was a lot of annoying flies in the breakfast room.

No service. No reception. No breakfast. Very noisy corridor, no isolation, feels like everyone is in one big room. Not too clean. Waaaayyyy over priced. Rip off!!! Stay here only if you are stuck with no room for the night.
