The food, service, and atmosphere was amazing here. A little pricey, but very worth it.
I had very high high expectation of this restaurant but sadly it did not reach to my level of four stars.
The first course was scallops, they were overcooked. Gummy not yummy.. The second course was artichokes with mayonese. The flavours were not a good combination I have to give the plating a round of applause. The main course was lamb which was cooked perfect, seasoned very well, but the rumpsteak was way too salt.
A cred to the chef of the desserts. He walk out himself to the table and presented a Beautiful plated sweet!
Overall the the experience was not bad but but not enough for the price..
Great restaurant! Food and atmosphere were awesome. Kudos to the chef!
Like everything else in Iceland. This place is expensive. The fruit 're mar was excetionl. I highly recommend the dish
We made reservations based on the recommendation of a local acquaintance. The food was delicious and the plating was beautiful. The staff was nice but didn’t check in to see if we needed anything very often so we often had to flag them down to get extra drinks and the check. The music was disco and r&b classics which is fun but it was a bit too loud for the atmosphere. But we LOVED the food and would definitely go back.
Utterly delicious. Pricey but the food in Iceland is and the quality was better than some of the Michelin star resteraunts I have been to . My only feedback was that on the desert the initiall taste was brilliant between the contrast of the hot caramel sauce and the cold desert but when mixed it had less impact so it would be better poor yourself but in a pourer that is insulated to keep the sauce warm. My wife's starter was delicious and had a secondary flavour that was delicious. The lamb was great and the fish.
Staff were very accommodating after we walked in for only drinks, not their priority customers they still made us welcome and served us at a great standard. Very nice inside restaurant with a great atmosphere, plenty of staff to care for us and others. Food on other tables looked and smelled great, whilst the other customers seemed to be enjoying it! Cocktails and beers we had were terrific!
Best restaurant in Reykjavík, good portions and fairly priced (compareing to other same quality restaurants in Reykjavík) Awesome staff, good athmosphere, great cocktails. Highly recommended.
Food was seriously good. Its just pricey. Like really pricey. That is only down side.
One of the best dinners we had on Reykjavik. Good value and excellent service. Servers were very attentive and friendly.
Our visit here was not planned, but all of us were blown away. Excellent food and service!
May have just been an off day but the wait staff was rude (basically they tell you to just look at the menu for further explanation, and asks "now are you ready?" For your order two minutes after you sit down -- who does that?), the food was just ok, oversalted and overpriced -- even by Icelandic standards
You can't just walk in, you must make a reservation. It's worth it though! Best meal I've had during my stay. My first time trying puffin and it was delicious! The salted cod was excellent!
The Icelandic tasting menu was divine. Every taste popped and every texture gelled. Also the staff were having a great time doing their job with precision and flair. And that's something you just have to support!
Had a quick lunch and it was great. Quick service and very big portions. Had the lobster salad which had a LOT of meat. I actually could have used more lettuce and greens. Would go back again as all the other dishes looked very tasty
We had the lamb and the catch of the day for lunch and they were perfectly made and delicious. Lunch prices are about half of dinner prices, which made ours a perfect deal! Really recommend, I still feel these tasty flavors in my mouth :D
Excellent food - top quality! The presentation was as appealing as the taste. The decor was modern and rustic at the same time. The waiter was very friendly. My husband is Icelandic so usually I get ignored by servers since I'm not fluent (they all speak English but when they know he is Icelandic, they commence ignoring me), but our server was very patient with me and let me speak instead of just switching over to speaking to me in English, which was very appreciated. We really enjoyed our dining experience.
Amazing food, creative and unique dishes, delicious unexpected flavors. An adventure for your pallette. Visually appetizing. Perfectly plated. Loved every dish, the bread, and the drinks. Chef can accommodate any food preferences.
Can't give this place enough stars! Great cosy atmosphere, staff were incredibly attentive without pestering. The food..WOW! The lobster menu was amazing. Downside, £225 for a 3 course meal, wine and a cocktail for two might make some people wince but if you can you won't regret it.
very friendly staff and best fish dishes in town. Creative recipies and good wine selection. Delicious! prices are in upper range but absolutely worth it
I couldn't have asked for a better meal! The salted cod was amazing and the plate had a wide variety of delicious flavours, including the best broccoli ever.
My friend had the salmon and was also impressed. It wasn't cheap but pretty consistent with the prices in Reykjavik.
The food is excellent here! It all comes with a cost, but it is definitely worth it. :)
Make sure to make a reservation beforehand, because the place is always packed!
