Came here twice during my visit to Iceland, it was that good. The restaurant is big and perfect if you’re there with friends. Service is also friendly and fast.
The food is out of this world! I had the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and caviar, and also the crab salad smørrebrød. Both were delicious but the smoked salmon was perfect.
The portions are huge! I highly recommend getting 2 half’s and mixing it up to try different ones. Two half’s will definitely fill you up.
Price wasn’t bad either! It’s no more expensive than a majority of the places in Reykjavik, and for the quality - it’s worth it. Though this is a Danish cuisine, you can’t go wrong stopping here during your Iceland visit.response / report this review -

Casual sandwich place and bakery. We expected paninis to be freshly pressed so that was a bit disappointing but it was delicious. Also shared a cookie from bakery area and it was a worthwhile treat.

A bustling restaurant with classic Scandanavian open faced sandwiches made with hearty bread, fresh veggies and a variety of options. The perfect spot to warm up and have lunch between sight-seeing.

We popped in here after being let off from a tour and were starving. We each ordered a different sandwich and split it. LOVED the cured/smoked fish options. The staff was a bit inattentive but the food was good!

We popped in for a quick bite to eat before catching our coach for a northern lights tour (it's very close to bus stop 10). The open Gin and Juniper Salmon sandwich was excellent and the service was prompt and friendly.

Coming here as a dane, I was quite amazed to get not only absolutely authentic Smørrebrød, but a whole lot better than a lot of reputable places back home serve it. This was absolutely stunningly delicious. Very much recommended. By complete chance, we met the owner at an entirely different place a few nights prior. He was so pleasant, very friendly and had us laughing a lot. He also poured lots of free drinks on us!! Great guy and a fantastic restaurant :)
