Snaps is a cute little restaurant with very good food. I had the moules frites and my wife had the croque madame, both of which were tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Attached to our hotel, went here on first night. Pricey by my standards, average by Icelandic standards but had Beef Tenderloin/fillet steak and TBH the food was faultless. Steak was really tasty, cooked to perfection and served with a smile. Top quality place with top notch food. Would definitely go back. :-)

This place is simply gorgeous. We came for breakfast at 8:00, before heading to the airport. There was a wonderful buffet awaiting us. Eggs, ham, croissants, waffles, fruit, skyr, ecc Everything was very good and the staff is very kind. It was the perfect way to end an Icelandic holiday.

Is it your only/last night in Reykjavik? Go to Snaps. The perfect combination of elegance, excellent food and drink, knowledgeable and engaging staff in a setting which is refined yet not snobby.

Our two visits to Snaps were the culinary highlight of our trip and the staff made us feel so welcome, can't wait to go back.

This was a nice experience - first dinner in the restaurant, then cocktails in the bar below. The restaurant is rather loud and often crowded, it seems, which is warranted by the food. Both the salted cod and the catch of the day were delicious. The bartenders know how to make cocktails, so you can safely order cocktails that are common but not on their menu. The bar below is rather small, but we were lucky enough to get a table in the corner with the couches. Reservations are highly recommended!

Great place. Fun and lively atmosphere and well prepared food. The caramalized potatoes were amazing. We ordered the christmas menu but hope to return to try the duck leg as well. Service was great.

I was pretty disappointed with the food in Reykjavik until I came to Snaps. My mom and I came for dinner on a Thursday night but there was a 40 minute wait at 6:30pm plenty of tables open but reserved. We didn't want to wait so we left, but came back on a Monday for lunch. There were barely any people there at noon. The catch of the day and the mussel appetizer were delicious!

This may be Reykjavik's best dinner spot. The selection of local dishes and seafood options were impressive. The staff was very attentive and bar staff was were very knowledgeable. I had a small selection of oysters and the mussels with frites. Don't miss this spot!

Catch of the day today + desert were incredible! Such wonderful flavors and the kinda food you talk about all day and dram about all night. It's a beautiful space -- we went at lunch which was a great time (and deal$) but I'm really excited to come back!!! Thank you so so much Snaps, this was the best meal I've had in a VERY long time

We decided to try out this restaurant which was right under our hotel! We had their spicy garlic king prawns appetizer with a few gin and tonics! The food and bread was delicious and the bartender was amazing! Everyone looked like they took their time with the preparation of our food and drinks to make sure it was perfect, which is rare to see. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Very friendly warm environment. The food was great! I had the duck breast and my husband had the club sandwich. We were both happy with our food. Get there early or make a reservation, it's a small place.

My friend and I really enjoyed our dinner here. This place isn't big, but what it lacks in size, it makes up in energy, friendliness, and good food. Lively neighborhood vibe paired with solid food.

I ordered the catch of the day: a pan-fried ling cod served on a bed of mashed potatoes and fresh greens. It was delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked--tender and not over-cooked. It was close to Christmas, so we also ordered some mulled wine to get us in the holiday mood.

The staff was also super friendly, and it seemed like most of the crowd were locals. I would definitely recommend this place for your next visit to Reykjavik.
