We went for lunch and this two course dish was well worth it. The service was impeccable and we even got some stuff that we didn’t expect such as some tasty bread with the soup and a cup with some chocolate at the end of the meal.

Excellent food, but you need more than one course, A bit noisy, but good vibes, staff is a bit too relaxed

Set menu= one of the better meals I’ve had in my life. Romantic, amazing service, and damn good fish soup.

Even if the restaurant is underground it really rose to the expectations. The interior is really cozy and decorated with style. The music was light, pleasant oldie style (thing that I absolutely loved to hear in Iceland, in comparison with the Europe). The team was really friendly, responsive and watchful. And the food Well, I could say honestly that for me it was one of the best burgers I've ever had (visually and tastefully). For the desert, the Lion Bar absolutely nailed it. Exceptional place.

Food was of top quality but very expensive due to the fairly small portions. Menu outside was out of date which disappointed one in our party. Also added another item to the bill which soured the evening somewhat. A lot of money. Not worth it

If you want a legit experience in Icelandic cuisine while sipping fantastic cocktails, this is where you should eat! Order the cod, which is cooked to a texture between sushi and well done. It just melts in your mouth with the curry infused Icelandic butter sauce. The coconut sorbet on a deliciously crispy blondie also plays with the tastebuds with sweet, sour, smoky, and savory flavors.

All of these items go great with their excellent selection of cocktails. Truly a great culinary experience!

All I can say is this place should get some international attention, great staff, pianist, cocktails and of course food.
The only minor thing to be improved is the transaction from piano player stopping playing and it took some time for proper music to be turned on, meanwhile one customer far away from us actually started playing something of the YouTube which was very disturbing and unpleasant.
Anyways, the waiter David was great and made our evening very special.

All food in Iceland is pricey, but this is the first restaurant here that I feel is actually worth the high price. The most delicious food I've had in a very long time. Highly recommended!

The ideal location for a romantic dinner, if you don't mind paying a high price for it. Beautiful pianist, great mood lighting, and probably the best tasting food I've ever eaten on the chef's choice "secret menu".

The restaurant is located in the town center and has a really nice look to it. The first thing i noticed is that the prices where really good and reasonable (if you would compare it woth other restaurants). The servers are really nice and open for any question. I ate the grilled salmon. It was amazing! Also, food was served within 10 minutes! The menu was very compact which is a good thing. Locas dishes, fish, grilled meet and a vegitarian dish! I do recommend this restaurant if you search for something nice and quiet place where you want to talk.

From the high marks on Trip Advisor, i was excited to give this place a try. First impression, friendly staff, cool and cozy vibe of the establishment. Started with FISHERMAN´S FISHSOUP (smoked haddock, scallop, shrimp, leek) | 2.740 Deeelicious!!! Then for appetizer, I tried the GRILLED PUFFIN & LEG OF GOOSE (blueberries, button mushrooms, barley) | 2.990 Can't say I love this dish as it was WAY too gamey. (There are ways to lessen the gaminess of exotic meat, one is to soak the meat in milk ovenight) And for the main course, THE DAY´S FISH COMBO (Salmon & Cod) | 4.390 The Salmon's middle was raw and Cod was overly salted and it came on a brown sauce that did not compliment the fish at all. To finished off the meal, I had some yummy sweets LIQOURICE MOUSSE (yogurt, lime, daim biscuit) | 2.190 I so wish to give this restaurant high marks, but i can't. A restaurant of this caliber, I really expected more. So the best I can give is a 3*.

One of the top three places we ate at in Iceland. If you're a foodie, you'll LOVE this place. Atmosphere was sooooo cool, and the presentation and experience only heightened the incredibly unique and creative dishes the chefs created. NOT TO MISS.

Top quality restaurant! Excellent staff, amazing live music and welcoming atmosphere. We had a starter, a main and a desert, all served with great timing and prepared with evident attention to detail and to setting high standards. Extremely fresh ingredients and delicious combinations with a genuinely Icelandic touch. Highly recommended!

The food in here was so good. Even for a veggie I was left more than happy. It ain't cheap, but if you want something a little bit special when you're in Reykjavik, you should check this place out.

Oh, and the pianist playing easy jazz renditions of contemporary pop songs in one of the corners somewhere was a great touch.
