Great hotel. In a nice quiet area, with 2 supermarkets and a few restaurants. Close to the city but also far enough away. Owner was amazing, gave us great tips. Serves breakfast daily and has a bar after your daytime travels. Would definetely recommend!

Friendly staff, good location although half an hours bus ride away from Reykjavik town centre so if you want to eat out there isn't a great deal of choice near by. However the restaurant that is near is fab and there is a discount there if you're staying at the hotel. Mountains and scenery around is very picturesque. Great holiday.

The room is big and clean. We was checking in late around 9pm. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Their breakfast is good and fresh. You can make your own waffles. Taste good!

Nice room, nice to be across from a grocery store, decent breakfast, and nice staff. They even let us do our laundry in the commercial laundry room.

Great small hotel, in a very nice are with beautiful views, 10-15 minutes away from Reykjavik and right at the beginning of Road 36 that surrounds the Golden Circle

For an Iceland hotel this is reasonably priced with the knowledge that you get what you pay for. It is basic with dated furniture and a recent coat of paint which does not change it's datedness. The clientele at the bar / restaurant seems to reflect the hotel. Ignore the creepy bar-flies or join in. The pictures on the website were skillfully taken.. Rooms need maintenance.

Great location just outside of Reykjavik. The hotel staff were super helpful. They eveb organised our transfers and day trips before we arrived! Great breakfast too. Recommended!!

A quaint hotel in a great location - about 15 min to downtown Reykjavik with 2 grocery stores and a nice coffee shop within walking distance. But my favorite part was the complimentary breakfast - It was super easy to eat gluten free and they had fresh vegetables!

Quaint little hotel with 20 rooms. The staff are so friendly, plenty of recommendations for activities in town. We had the lamb stew on Friday night and it was delicious. The hotel bar is fun and they have a huge projector for soccer games. I highly recommend.

Quiet location, easy to catch public transport to Reykjavik. Staff friendly and helpful. Room is nice and clean, facilities work. Highly recommend.

Stayed for 4 nights and location was just what we needed, just out of the city and beautiful view of the mountains. Would recommend getting a car to stay here as it's a short drive into Reykjavik and then in the opposite direction a scenic drive into the national park, but a couple the evenings we did catch the bus (bus stop just next to the car park) which only took about half an hour and cost about 4 krona so we could have a drink in Reykjavik.
Only spoke to the guy on reception, but he was helpful and friendly, room was clean and basic but that was all we needed.

Considering the price I think this place is very good value. The breakfast is pretty good. With a pool table and an outdoor hot tub, amenities aren't bad either. Our host was a very friendly Icelandic guy who was very accommodating.

My reason for 4 stars is mainly because it seems our very accommodating host was too accommodating with another guest who got far too drunk at the hotel bar which resulted in him being very overly aggressive towards me despite no provocation from myself. Host handled it reasonably well, but wish he had intervened sooner as I was fully expecting the drunk guy to try something before he had intervened based on his body language. Beyond letting him get that drunk in the first place I can't really fault them otherwise. Host was super apologetic and understood it was not acceptable.

That and the windows and doors are a bit hard to open and shut. The doors were a bit more annoying because you could hear others slamming their own doors because they were equally struggling with them.
