Wonderful location to view the Northern Lights / Aurora Borealis !!!
We stayed the 3rd and 4th of April
The second night we saw the Auroral lights!!
Such an incredible and memorial sight!
The hotel is simple and understated, but the dinning, location, and excellent staff make this our favorite location in Iceland.response / report this review -

Location : Rightly placed surrounded by nice country side
Room :
Ambiance : Modern finish
Facility : Tea coffee making options , nice lights , nice heating , bed and mattress comfortable
Toilet & Bath : Clean and fresh towels
Balcony : Lovely little balcony , nice to watch the surroundings
Breakfast : Lovely breakfast at the restaurant , plenty to chose from
Check in & Check out : Smooth and no delays
A wonder in iceland , lovely hotel , very modern inside and it matches icelandic settings outside
We stayed only one night and we wished we could have stayed longer.
The hotel even had northern light wake up service.
Things could have been better :
Soap dispenser - was difficult to use

We saw the Northern Lights here! They notified us while we were about to order dinner. This was our favourite hotel out of the 3 hotels we stayed at. The food was the best we had, both the breakfast and dinner. The room was spacious with a large windowed wall. The staff were very friendly. We did not hear any neighbors. The location is pretty good. We packed in so many sites around the area. We would recommend this hotel for sure.

The most basic hotel of all time. Stay here if you want to deal with rude front desk staff, mouldy food for breakfast, and sleep on a pile of bricks.

Hotel lobby not existent, not welcoming. No wifi in breakfast restaurant area. Carpet in corridor very old full of stains. Very old bathroom with very loud fan system. Very cheap ikea roller blind: impossible to get full darkness in the bedroom. Breakfast ok but not as good as what others describe here. TV: only one channel working. Good thing: Nice view from the breakfast room and on the roof terrace. All in all could be ok if the price was reasonable. But for the requested price you could expect a much much better quality.

Nice room, good view, the restaurant looks luxury but the attitude of most waiters / waitress is arrogance, unfriendly and impolite. Excepted 1 senior waiter who have polite manner.
