Very expensive, not even coffee for the the guest to welcome you (only inside the rooms and was instant coffee); the room were ok, lots of lights goes through the curtains so if your coming during this time of the year it will be hard to sleep. Breakfast was not included but they offered for 3.000 ISK per person that is ridiculous. If you are around here find a better place for less money and with way better accommodations.

This is a very nice hotel. Not much from the outside but, inside is done very beautifully. Very nice staff, the food from their restaurant was fantastic. The view out my window was to a mountain. There is a grocery store just right down the road which is nice too. While staying here we spent one night doing a northern lights hunt. Backpacks for the hunt with a few supplies like a blanket and a flashlight were provided by the hotel. They also warmed us up after the hunt with hot chocolate. I'm happy to say the hunt was successful too! I would definitely recommend this hotel. The only negative, there are no clocks in the rooms. But I found this to be true for every hotel I visited in Iceland.

Pretty much everything you expect (including the typically small rooms).. breakfast was included here unlike other Icelandair hotels- hence the 5 star

Best place to stay, close to a lot of nice things, the rooms are very clean and a good size. The hot swimming pools next door are 900 per person and a lovely place to relax. The restaurant and other staff are super helpful and we ate at the hotel several times.

Stayed here overnight as we were on route to diamond beach. Great hotel with modern rooms and facilities. Pillows are quite soft, but otherwise good hotel to break up the drive.

This hotel is way over priced! It is a wanna be luxury hotel in the middle of nothing, but seriously in over a week in Iceland I have seen much better. Even hostels have better WiFi!!!! Not even to mention that a room for 25000 does not include breakfast!
Extremely disappointing! We stayed because we were driving quite late at night, but I regret we didn’t go to the guesthouse around the corner! The WiFi works very well there!

Rooms were old and the overall experience did not feel relaxing. Sound insulation was poor as we heard the next room talking all night. Would prefer to stay in a cozy guesthouse or b&b next time

Place was nice. Quiet. Restaurant was nice. Breakfast was exorbitant prices. 29 dollars for a buffett. The front staff was very friendly and had a spare converter since I forgot mine at the previous hotel. Beds were comfortable except that the "queen" bed was two twins pushed together.

Easy place to get to with friendly staff and excellent food and drinks. The langoustine soup was amazing! Relatively close to some awesome sights. Would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Stayed at Icelandair hotel Klaustur overnight and it was a great stay. Lovely, friendly people to help you with all your needs. They even have a northern lights wake up call available if these appear at night! The restaurany was also really nice, something was wrong with our order, but quickly fixed and we received a discount on our bill. We really enjoyed it.

very lovely. We were upgraded to a suite. breakfast was delicious. There was a hike not too far from the hotel, where you could hike to the top of a mountain and see a hidden waterfall. Very nice.

Amazing location, ambiance, staff, rooms, etc. they even have a wake up call when the Aurora Borealis appears! Breakfast was fantastic and included an array of great Icelandic & international food that you won't miss where you're coming from. Bathrooms have L'Occitane products! Even the hallway bathrooms! You'll feel spoiled here. I'll be back in the summer for sure!!!

Clean, functional and dated hotel. The staff are much the same. Our supposed superior room was small and could use some maintenance. We ate at the restaurant which is bad quality and over-priced when you factor that in. Functional, microwave fresh food. Also I am lactose intolerant and so requested the easiest thing to have on the menu asking for a burger with no mayo. (It did not mention cheese.) It came with cheese. I asked for a new one. They simply scraped off the cheese and I was then queazy for the rest of the evening. Breakfast was better but who can screw up a buffet style (mainly continental) breakfast? That being said my husband enjoyed the fresh waffles

The hotel is one of two hotels in the Kirkubaejarklaustur area.
There's free parking in front of the hotel and there's enough space. The hotel is located close to a waterfall and looks decent from the outside.

They were renovating the place when we got there so there were a lot of people working in the lobby area. We stayed in the rooms on ground floor and the rooms were a bit old but ok and very clean.

Breakfast is above average and staff is super friendly!
