Great shower & WC. Great view. Free wifi. No kitchen for campers. Friendly host. Hard to get to. 1500pp/n @ June 2018
Location was like a dream! Surrounded by scenic mountains and waterfalls. Welcome was warm and friendly, toilet was clean, showers were hot and free WiFi at main building. 1200isk per person per night.
This is our third night doing the ring road in camper vans, and this is far and away the best campsite we’ve stayed at. The facilities are great and only 1200 ISK, which includes a shower. The views are phenomenal. Make this a stop on your trip along the coast!
Absolutely gorgeous campsite in the mountains. The hosts are lovely and the facilities are more than adequate, including shower and good bathrooms, especially for only 1200 ISK/person. Stay here if at all possible.
We stayed there in the beginning of May and even though the owner was not there, there was a note on the door that you can camp, use the bathroom and just leave the money in a dedicated place (1200 ISL). The bathroom was clean and heated with electric sockets inside so we had all we needed. The location is also great, it's just above a beautiful fjord.
We stayed here in mid-October and were fortunate to be the only people at the site because, unbeknown to us, it was closed! Although nothing was actually locked; in fact all the lights were on as well as the boilers. It was only the next morning when we found the owner did we discover it was closed for the winter! The site itself was perfect for us, warm shower room with hot water. However, there was only one shower on the site, so would be problematic during busy periods. It was included in the price though. Also the 'kitchen area' was in the toilet block, next to two toilet cubicles. Again, no problem for us but rather unhygienic if it were busy. The site itself is on a beautiful plateau which is accessed by a very steep gravel road directly off of route one. We arrived late in the evening in pitch black - take care when driving up the road if not in a 4x4, it is very steep! Because it is away from civilization, like much of Iceland, there is no light pollution so the view of the Northern Lights was spectacular. In the morning we spoke to the owner who told us there are plans to build a separate kitchen and dining area for summer 2018. I believe the cost was 1200 krona per person.
The walley abowe the farm is amazon with endless waterfalls
Not manage to drive up there due to the size of my Motorhome & the steep slope & sharp turn. View at mid height was nice though
Very nice campingsite. The shower room is heated. There are some sockets available. Free WiFi near to the main house.
Very nice place for one night. Very quiet and beautiful. Only one shower for campsite.
Fairly nice campsite and has enough room so it doesn't feel very crowded. Unfortunately there is only one shower for everyone in the campsite to use, although the shower is free and clean enough. Only two bathrooms for everyone at the campsite to use too, and the bathroom is also used as the "kitchen area" which consists of a sink and a kettle. The surrounding area is very pretty however, there are lovely views of mountains and a waterfall on the road up to the campsite.
This was one of our absolute favourite campsites when we travelled around Iceland! Gorgeous location in a quiet river valley that empties into the fjord. There is a pretty waterfall visible from the campsite and you fall asleep to the sound of the stream flowing 10 feet away. At 1200ISK per person when we were there in June, this was the most reasonably priced campsite we stayed at. Incredibly sweet owners who are very flexible with when you pay. Camping shower (free!) is in the boiler room, so very nice and toasty. Wifi! Very quiet when we were there (only one other group) but they had enough picnic tables on the campground that there should be enough for everyone even when it's busier. Only downside was no enclosed cooking space, which was a chore for our little backpacking stove since it was pretty windy.
Nice camping site just 15 minutes drive from a nearby town. For 1k krona per night, they have free hot shower. Scenery nearby is nice and not many people camp here.
