A Kia Sportage automatic cost about $280 for one day. The rental process was very non-informative. I booked on-line, and then I added options at pick-up time. The initial booking price was around $100. I added automatic gear, insurance, fuel prepay, second driver. I was never told this would be this much, so I expected something added, but not triple the price!
The choice on automatic cars was poor. I was visiting Iceland for five days and most of what I heard in the street, restaurants, bars, hotels, was American English being spoken. With so many American tourists you'd expect to have enough automatics.
The drop-off was bad. There was a strong chilly wind and no one showed off at the car. We left the car, went inside, there's one employee at the counter who could not give a damn about us. I waited patiently, looking intensely at him, not knowing for how long, while having a plane to catch. The individual didn't even make eye contact, let alone a greeting, or "my colleague will be with you in a moment". I guess he was the sales guy, not the drop-off guy, so he just didn't care. Eventually a lady came and it took a while, she went back to the car outside to check it, then typed for a while, finally gave us the ok.
Hertz, have you heard of full-insurance, no-hassle, key-drop easy drop-off?

Плохо проверяют машины, механика нет не месте чтобы устранить мелкие недочёты. но вернув машину поздно вечером, нас отвезли на ней до терминала, так как шатл уже не ходил, а вещей у нас было много.
