We really enjoyed our stay here. We were a little nervous after reading some reviews which said the hotel was quite noisy but we are at the back and up on the higher floors and slept great. Excellent location and great breakfast selection. Ok the views from the rooms aren't the best but you're on holiday - you should be outside exploring! Very good value for money would recommend!

Great location! Hotel is in walking distance to a lot of restaurants, bars, shops, and some tourist attractions. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and is also very good. The rooms are small and housekeeping could be better.

Nice hotel: comfortable, calm and clean. The staff was friendly as well.

It's in the downtown, near all the important places in Reykjavík and next to a party area full of bars.

I really liked the breakfast buffet which is included for all the bookings.

If you get there by bus you need to stop at the bus station number 4.

It’s a lovely hotel, great location close to everything. Our room faces the front of the hotel and it’s currently 4:30am in morning and there is no one out front policing the exorbitant amount of noise out there as the bars close and people loiter in the street waiting for rides at the taxi stand out front. Ask for a room in the back if you stay here. And/Or bring earplugs.
(Note: no true black out curtains in room, there are curtains, but lets enough light in to light the room up when sun is up)

Very clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Location is fantastic, very central and lots of great bars and restaurants close by, and near a bus stop for excursions. A great budget hotel. Will be staying here on my next visit to Reykjavik.

Friendly staff. Although we got an upgrade, the room was very small with a very strange pillar next to one side of the bed. The room was facing the plaza. Not recommendable for light sleepers. The noise goes on through the whole night until 4 or 5 in the morning. Read reviews of the breakfast being absolutely fantastic. I had better.

Rooms were alright, nothing special but clean and practical. Beds were a bit hard. The location of the hotel was excellent. Essentially you are right downtown within walking of lots of lovely restaurants and attractions. There's also a lovely ice rink right outside the hotel.

Nice Central location. I had a great room on the 8 ty floor with beautiful view of the city. Very helpful and mind staff. Close to all your needs in Reykjavik and out of town tours.

Prime location for many attractions. Close to pickup/drop off location for excursions, airport shuttle, and taxi. Great food at hotel restaurant. Close to the dock if interested in any boat activities. Helpful and hospitable staff.

Breakfast was excellent, had something for every nationality. Rooms were clean and quiet. The staff were extremely helpful and nice. Great location to walk almost everywhere. Really enjoyed the stay.

We decided last minute to stay at the Center Plaza and cancel our other hotel since it's location was very far out of the way. The Center Plaza however is close to everything. Tons of shopping, food and attractions around we could walk almost everywhere. The rooms were nice and clean and had the comfiest pillows I have ever slept on (in the executive suites anyways) Staff were always friendly, the breakfast included provided lots of options and was always freshly stocked. Would recommend for any tourists!

I had to switch accommodation locations while I was staying in Reykjavik due to nonstop partying from 10pm to 5am. The bass from the music shook the bunk beds in the hostel room I was staying in right downtown. Needless to say I got no sleep at all. This hotel is still downtown but MUCH quieter! The room was nice, I think the older curtains added character, the breakfast was one of the best I had in a hotel, and the staff were very kind and helpful.

Although one of the more expensive places we stayed in Iceland, it was also very relaxing rooms, with good views, and service and staff were friendly and accommodating. Nearest parking garage is probably your best bet for parking (1 block away). Rooms are modern and spacious. Beds are comfy and inviting. A wee bummer that it is right in the flight path for the city airport.

I couldn't have stayed in a better location whilst in Reykjavik. The rooms were nice, staff were courteous and when I go back to Reykjavik, I'll certainly be looking to stay here!

Centerhotel was a great place to stay in the center of town. The hotel is clean and well furnished. The staff is friendly and the free breakfast was actually pretty good and there was a surprising variety of food. There is free wifi, but it was somewhat inconsistent and slow at times.

The hotel is located within close walking distance of parking, grocery stores, bars, and restaurants.

The hotel was nice. Ended up being put up by my airline for a missed connection. Breakfast buffet was quite satisfying. There's food all around, and it sits right off of main streets to access stuff to do.

Location is great ,walking distance to all the local bars .restaurants and shops We were very disappointed with our room it was nothing but a shabby box room with such a small en-suite it was difficult to use.however we complained and fair play to our rep she eventually managed to get us one of the better rooms, still basic but nice and clean with comfy beds .good breakfast.

I was very sad when I had to leave this hotel, the staff was very friendly, breakfast was good, and overall very happy. Location was perfect for going to downtown, within walking distance if everything! The showers did leak allot though.

Modern rooms and friendly staff. Horrible eating room in the cellar with adequate breakfast. Friendly staff. There are some excellent corner rooms with lots of windows and quite a bit of space. Much too expensive generally, but you can usually get better rates if there's a festival or similar going on.

This hotel is horrible. You would to be a very low class person to think otherwise. It's not even in the center of the city. The majority of the shops are at least a half mile away. The showers were gross, and they all leak. The amenities do not exist. There is no gym. One elevator for the entire wing. They don't even offer shampoo and conditioner, they have a "hair and shower gel" combined into one. The windows leak water. If this hotel was $60 a night or priced like a super low end Hostel, I would see the value. The beds reminded me of my first dorm room. There is NO value here. Please look into other options. Trust me.

Decent hotel by general standards. Especially given the general poor value for money we have experienced in Iceland. Centrally located close to restaurants, bars, and shops. Exactly what we wanted. Staff at the front desk extremely helpful and friendly. Room are spacious and clean. Solid breakfast (with warm bread). OK bar reception setup (bar open till 3am) and reception 24/7.
