Truly the nicest people I have had the pleasure of renting from. I have traveled quite extensively and I have never received such quality customer service from anyone as I did from these lovely people. I cannot recommend the use of this service enough.

They really went out of their way to accommodate us. The next time I am in Iceland I know who the first person I am going to call will be!

Finding an affordable 4WD to travel Iceland was challenging and Camping Cars was the only ones that fit the needs. From when we landed to when we left, their service was above and beyond. My sister and I traveled to Iceland without a solid plan and wanted to do the ring road. When we went to pick up the car, they gave great advice for traveling since have the roads were closed. They suggested we switched out some things like needing a GPS and a sleeping bag with some things that weren't necessary without an extra charge. They also suggested we stopped by Reykjadalur hot springs which about 1-2 hour hike up the snowy mountain and was one of my favorite memories of the trip. If I ever visit again, I'd go in the fall when its camping weather and would rent from them again.

These guys are fantastic - we are hired a car (via northbound.is) from these guys. The service was great from the moment we landed in Iceland. There was a mistake in the booking but they were happy to help us get what we needed and went above and beyond in generosity making sure our time in Iceland was perfect. Thanks again guys! Truely great service.

I can't say enough about what an incredible experience my husband and I had with this company! The overall customer service and communication was beyond fantastic. Bogi and his crew are such genuine people and really seem to care about the wellbeing of the customer. They answered all our questions and more while also picking us up from our Airbnb on the first night and dropping us off at the airport on the way out. Not to mention the camping car itself was absolutely perfect and extremely cost efficient for our road trip around Iceland. They even threw in some blankets for free so we would be sure to keep warm. 4WD, great quality, comfortable matress, blackout canvas for the long days during the summer.and so easy to pop up without having to shuffle though things around the vehicle or piece anything together. Don't waste your money on little rental cars, hotels and big, brightly colored camper vans! This is truly the best way to discover Iceland! So much fun!

Great experience in this Ford Escape 4WD with the roof top tent, we had a lot of fun in it. The tent just has the room for two adults. We had some rainy day and it kept us dry all the night! It's really nice to be able to sleep whenever we were allowed to! We wanted a 4WD car to go anywhere, we had a 4WD who led us everywhere! And Great services for the pick up/drop off at the airport! Thank you!

For our second trip to Iceland, we decided to rent a 4x4 for a week so we could visit the highlands. Searching around Keflavik on Google Maps, I found Campingcars and thought it was just what we wanted: instead of having to pack our tent, bedding, and cooking gear (like we did last time), we liked the idea that all of these were supplied with our 4x4. and the price was less than most other 4x4 rentals near KEF. They picked me up at our guesthouse, introduced me to the vehicle (and the owner!), and showed me how to "pop" the brand-new tent-top (which contained the bedding), light the stove, and they even gave us extra cans of stove fuel, just-in-case. For the two of us, we rented a Ford Escape. As expected (considering the low price and previous experience with rentals in Iceland) this was a well-used vehicle with many scrapes and small dents (which the owner volunteered to document for us). Despite a few *dings*, however, it worked GREAT and did everything we asked on Iceland's rough F-routes (steep slopes, rocks, fords, etc.), and we didn't have to worry about adding a few more scratches. Setting up the sleeping top simply involved opening a latch and giving a shove, then hooking on the ladder. The mattress was very comfortable, and we were provided with pillows, 2 duvets/comforters, and 2 fleece blankets. While our new tent-top was water-tight, it was a bit chilly with night-time lows close to _freezing_, so we used a couple more fleece blankets that we'd brought along. The stove was simple, reliable, and hot, rapidly boiling water for our coffee in the mornings. Dishes and utensils for two were also provided, along with a small pot and a sturdy thermos, but if you want to do more than heating water or canned food, you will need a knife for chopping and a cooking spoon. We used our own coffee press and cooler bag as well. Everything worked as advertised, and it was very nice to be able to travel where ever we wanted in Iceland, and stop, cook, and stay when and where we pleased, so we'd happily use this service again in future trips.
