Comfortable hotel to stay, located close to Hlemmur and 10 minutes walking from bar and shopping area in Reykjavik, I might guess they don't zclean the rooms everyday.

Decent guest house, got room with spacious bathroom and bedroom. For the price it's great. For the check in you have to call after 3pm, not sooner.

I don't think there will be any accommodation worse than this. I would consider this place merely a shelter only.

The shared bathroom was so so terrible with full of rust on the shower head with no proper hanging hook. Towel was like used for ages with faded color stains. Yucks*

The bedroom was so horrible with musky smells with extremely rundown bed mattress, chairs and wardrobe.

There was no kitchen, nor any alternative to boil hot water or drinking water. We would have died from thirst if we do not brought our own drinking water.

Check-in process was so bad as there was literately nobody manning the place, we had to wait for 30 mins for somebody to pass the keys to us.

The owners should reflect on themselves about offering such horrible living conditions for their customers.

Considering the price that we are paying, we could have got some better options elsewhere. In conclusion, this guesthouse do not even deserve a star.

Terrible value for money for what you are getting. You have to call a number to check in or if you have any issues, then wait for staff to arrive. Also, the rooms and the building itself is weathered, the bathroom is cramped and the curtains were more like rags hanging down. The room will not get cleaned during your stay and if you want your towels replaced, you have to find the cleaner and hope she has spare ones. Although I appreciate Iceland is expensive, this guesthouse is just a complete rip off for what it is - suggest guests do not stay here and pay a bit more for an actual hotel or try to find better/cheaper accommodation on the likes of AirBnb. Do not recommend/will not stay again. Only plus point was that the building is actually in Reykjavik.

Everything was great during our 4-nights stay here. We had a shared bathroom and a shared kitchen. Both were very clean, as well as our room. I should mention that the staff was very friendly and told us which are the cheapest supermarkets around in order to save some money. I really don't understand the people who complain about this place, probably they expected 5 stars facilities from this cheap accommodation

It's a good place considering the Icelandic prices. For nearly 70€ per night, what do you expect? People who complain travel very little ir dont have realistic expectations. I'd rather stay at Pavi's in a room for myself instead than at a crowded hostel sharing room with other 10 people.

Basic but clean and practical. Great for a quick stop over in Reykjavik if you're just looking for somewhere to kip. Our room had its own bathroom and the person who showed us around was helpful and friendly. Wi-Fi was a bit rubbish though but ok for basic needs.

We got a room here because it was the cheapest we could find. The towels were clean but they were very old towels that were falling apart! The building and everything in the rooms are very old and ran down. The beds and pillows were comfortable though, and the shower had very hot water . Don't expect this to be a nice place to stay. We could hear our neighbors talking from our room. Basically just comfortable enough to sleep. Have headphones or ear plugs if you are a light sleeper and plan to stay here.

This is unbeliable. This is just the FIRST day, ya know, and that happened: the flight arrived at Rekyavik airport at 00:00AM in the middle of a blizzart, having to drive for 3h and arriving here. Then, it said that we have to call a number, waiting in the middle of the blizzart 15 min. Then, they said that our apartment wasn't there, it was 10 min away and walking in the middle of the weather. We knew it was a cheap apartment, but all was full of dirt. The rooms were bad ventilated, and the bathroom smell to urine. Customer service was a hell: rude personal staff, worst kitchen ever, and they forced us to clean the dirt that THEY had in there before we arrived, yelling to us and blaming us. We pacted a refund because we was calamitated and we wasn't to stay more there, so we changed our staying to an other expensive but better hotel. Don't come here, really.

first off there is no one thereso if you arrive early (check in is at 3pm )you can not store your luggage.so if you have a early flight you have to take your luggage with you .second when you do arrive at 3 you have to call a number posted on the door and someone will come to meet you (took about 15 mins standing in the rain).third what happened with when the owner/manager arrive he told me is the room i was staying in was not at that address but 300 meters away and a block over.this was a old house that had been split up into several rooms.mine was on the top floor.very dirtybed was not long enough for me ( i am 5'5").and i could not stand up as the room into the roof.there was one half bathroom on that floor to share with 3 other rooms and it was dirty and smelled of urine.i would not return to this place and if i had not pre paid would have left the min i arrived..

Poor quality everything. Sheets do not even fit the bed. Poor ventilating in rooms,poor lighting in showers. Simply bad. "customer service" doesn't exist here. The only unpleasant pertain we meet in Iceland was a staff member here. Pay more, go to kex, cause there bar was awesome!
