This place was dirty and smelly, and as an asmatic i could not breathe proparly because og the moist and moldy atmosphere in the rooms

On a residential estate outside city centre (need car to get to). Shared bathrooms and access to kitchen and living space. Self service check in/out process.

The common areas were dirty, the outside was disheveled, the side porch is littered with beer cans. We walked around the place for maybe an hour because no one would answer. A neighbor finally contacted the owner who was out of the country. A woman showed up to unlock the door and did not seem to think any of this was strange. We decided enough red flags were enough and did NOT stay the night.

La chambre était petite mais les lieux-commun sont plutôt grand. Il faut prévoir une voiture car c'est assez distant de la capitale.

Small size of the room could be annoying for couples. Kitchen, living room and bathrooms were clean and functionnal. Good place for backpackers who cab afford the price. A bit expensive for the service. The owner is special. 10 minutes from the center of Reykjavik by car.

This is the worst hotel I ever been to in the whole world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Below are my awful experience for coming to this hotel. And at the end, we left the hotel, going to police station and find another hotel and stay at night. When my mom and I went to check in this hotel yesterday, it's 7pm, and the two people who came from the reception let us wait for 2 hours until they back! Then after they back, they asked us to fill out a form and even need us to fill out passport number and credit card information, also we already paid! We asked why, they the man from the reception throw the keys on to the floor immediately and act very angry and kind of have a fight or argument with the other woman from the reception. My mom and I were scared. Then after a while, they came out from the office, and said we complain about filling the forms. And his boss give him a lot of pressure for people don't fill out the forms. But the thing is, except my mom and I, we also asked other people live there, and NO ONE FILL OUT THE PASSPORT NUMBER AND CREDIT CARD NUMBER, ALSO MOST OF THEM DIDN'T PAY!!! And his anger is came from his boss, we are the guest and custom in this room, why do we need to hear him yell at us!!!!!! Also, the room is very dirty especially the kitchen, and it's not as good as all the pictures that they showed. Plus, I also hear another guy from a room and said they lock his door while he is in the room, and they went inside his room with his permit!!!! At the end, my mom and I were left, because we just too scared if they will do something bad for us, and we went to the police station, but it's too late and closed, so we found another place to live and check it at midnight.

Room was OK. The hotel was a house and attended by the owner, who was very hostile to us, as explained below:
The entrance door was hard to open, from either inside or outside. We were trying to go out but could not open the door. After enough attempts, we decided to ask the owner for help. She came to the door, appearing quite annoyed, but did open the door for us, and then vented her anger: "I CAN OPEN it. I cannot just open the door for every guest!". ( I suppose other guest might have also asked for the same help). I noticed that when she open the door, she pulled and rocked the door REALLY HARD in certain directions while at the same time twisting the lock lever. That's how she opened it, and we were so guilty of not figuring this out in the first day of our arrival. Actually we did try rocking the door this way and that way moderately, just not as hard she she did. We did not want to damage her property. Then the next morning, we met a group of guests who told us that the owner told them that we should have checked out in the morning of the 4th but were staying without notice, and that they were lucky that there was another vacant room. This was completely out of blue. We paid for the two nights (3rd and 4th, which was clearly indicated in our receipts), and were supposed to check out by noon of the 5th ( we actually checked out at about 9 AM of the 5th). Also, the wifi didn't work, and when we asked for help, the lady said, well, I cannot help with THAT, again with a bad tone. She acted as though we were living in her house for free, and we had to be really careful around her.response / report this review -
